Feliway Classic Cat Calming Odourless Spray, 60ml

Some cat owners want help with specific spots their cat scratches or sprays, others are looking for support during car journeys. Feliway Classic is a targeted, odourless spray designed for both situations, using pheromones rather than being applied directly to the cat.

The 60ml bottle is intended for use at home or in a cat carrier, with approximately 16 applications. Its appeal is the ability to treat a particular area or travel setting rather than applying it to your pet.

Why it’s worth it

Feliway Classic Spray is designed to send calming pheromone messages in places where a cat may need reassurance. At home, it can be sprayed on areas marked through scratching or spraying, with the aim of helping comfort your cat and reduce those behaviours there. For travel, it can be sprayed into the carrier to create a more relaxing environment.

That makes it a practical format for owners who want to target a particular location, rather than treat the whole home. Worth considering if you need one spray for both marked areas and occasional journeys. The product is described as drug-free and non-sedative, and as safe for people and other animals in the household.

The essentials

The bottle contains 60ml and is described as odourless. The stated yield is approximately 16 applications, so it is intended for selected spots or travel preparations rather than frequent, broad-area use. The product works by releasing calming pheromones, it is not a spray to use on your cat.

Would a targeted spray fit your routine better than support aimed at a wider area? The key distinction here is where it is applied: directly to a spot your cat has marked, or into the carrier before a journey. For example, an owner preparing for a trip could use it in the carrier, while at home it could be directed at a repeatedly scratched area. The description does not specify an application schedule or how long an individual application lasts, so those details should not be assumed.

How to use it

Apply the spray to the relevant marked area or directly into the cat carrier, depending on the situation. Do not spray it directly on your cat. This clear restriction matters when choosing between a location-based pheromone product and anything intended to be applied to an animal.

The product is presented as a way to support cats at home and while travelling, not as a guarantee that scratching, spraying or travel-related stress will stop. If you are dealing with persistent behaviour, the spray’s stated role is to help comfort your cat in the chosen setting, it does not replace understanding what is prompting the behaviour.

Should you buy it?

Feliway Classic is a sensible format to consider if you want an odourless pheromone spray for specific marked areas and carrier use, and prefer not to use a sedative product. Its 60ml size and stated approximate application count also give a clearer idea of what the bottle is designed to cover.

It may not suit you if you specifically need a product that can be applied directly to your cat, since this spray must not be used that way. Choose it for targeted use at home or during travel, rather than expecting a whole-home solution or a guaranteed change in behaviour.
