Pros
This model reduces nuisance alarms with AI-powered human and vehicle detection, which helps keep alerts relevant. Colour night vision is useful when you need identifiable footage after dark, and the spotlight plus audio alarm add a deterrent layer. Installation is straightforward thanks to a magnetic mount, and two-way audio means you can speak to visitors from the Vsees app.
Usage tips
If you need continuous recording, bear in mind the cameras require plug-in wired power for 24/7 operation. It’s a good idea to set custom motion zones to focus monitoring on driveways or entryways, which reduces irrelevant notifications. You’ll get the best connection on a robust 2.4GHz network, while WiFi 6 support helps stabilise feeds in busier homes.
Compatibility & requirements
The camera works with the Vsees App on smartphone and PC, and uses 2.4GHz WiFi networks only. It is not compatible with 5GHz networks and it is not battery powered. Local microSD storage is supported up to 256GB according to the manufacturer.
Care & maintenance
Keep the lens and housing free of dust and cobwebs to retain image clarity, and check seals periodically if the camera is mounted outdoors. For long term recording to microSD, format cards in the device as recommended by the manufacturer and replace worn cables to preserve weather resistance. 😊📸🔒.
