VASAGLE Custos LBC609KD01 tree-shaped bookcase, 9 shelves, vintage brown
Product description
A narrow corner in a bedroom, living room or home office can become a place for books, DVDs and magazines with the VASAGLE Custos tree-shaped bookcase. Its footprint is 20 x 38 cm, with a height of 115.2 cm. Choose it for vertical, open storage, a wider bookcase may suit a collection that needs more shelf space.
Highlights
The tree-shaped layout gives this standing shelf a distinctive look while keeping its overall width compact. It has nine shelves, so there are several places to arrange smaller items rather than one broad surface. The vintage brown finish and clean-lined design are intended to sit comfortably in different rooms, and the laminated, veneer-finished particle board can be wiped with a damp cloth.
Each shelf has a stated maximum static load of 5 kg, with a 45 kg maximum static load for the unit as a whole. Those figures help set expectations: it is suited to organising books and everyday media within these limits, rather than treating every branch-like shelf as a place for heavy objects. The supplied anti-tip device is intended to secure the bookcase to a wall.
Quick sizing guide
The dimensions are 20 cm deep, 38 cm wide and 115.2 cm high. That makes it worth considering for a small corner or narrow gap where a deeper unit would take up more floor space. Before choosing a spot, allow for its full height and make sure the shelves will be accessible once it is positioned. The 7.4 kg unit requires assembly, and the package includes an instruction manual and accessory pack.
Tips for day-to-day use
Use the different levels to separate books, DVDs and magazines, keeping heavier items within the 5 kg limit for each shelf. Distributing belongings across the nine shelves can make the tree-shaped arrangement easier to use than stacking everything in one spot. For safety, attach the supplied anti-tip device to the wall as directed, the manufacturer specifically recommends securing the shelf this way.
For care, wipe the surface with a damp cloth and dry it afterwards. The product information says no additional tools are required for assembly and describes the parts as clearly marked, but it still needs to be assembled. It is an open shelf rather than enclosed storage, so items remain visible and accessible.
Questions before you buy
How much can each shelf hold? The stated maximum static load is 5 kg per shelf, and the stated total for the bookcase is 45 kg. Keep both limits in mind when arranging belongings.
Does it need to be fixed to the wall? An anti-tip device is included, and the manufacturer advises using it to secure the bookcase to the wall for safety.
What is included? The package contents list one bookcase, one anti-tip device, an accessory pack and an instruction manual. Assembly is required.
When it makes sense
It makes sense if you want a compact, vertical place for books or media in a corner and prefer an open display over a larger, broader bookcase. The nine shelves offer separate spots for smaller items, but the 38 cm width is the key sizing detail for planning what you will store. Better avoided if you need closed storage or broad shelves for bulky belongings. For a narrow space and everyday items that fit the stated load limits, this VASAGLE model offers a specific, space-conscious alternative to a conventional wide bookcase.
