UGREEN USB to USB-C Adapter, 10Gbps Data Transfer, Black Aluminium
Product description
At 25 x 14 x 7 millimetres, the UGREEN USB to USB-C adapter is a small connector for using USB accessories with compatible USB-C devices. Its black metallic finish and single-port design keep the focus on one straightforward job: adapting a connection rather than adding a row of ports.
The stated data-transfer rate is 10Gbps, making this a practical format to consider when you want to connect an older USB drive to a newer laptop, tablet or mobile phone without carrying a separate cable for every connection. It suits a different need from a multi-port hub: a compact, single-connection adapter for occasional or everyday use.

The compatibility information names USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 laptops and tablets, plus OTG mobile phones. Devices listed include MacBook Pro and Air, iPad Pro, Galaxy S21, S22 and S23, and iPhone 15 and 16. Compatibility can depend on the device supporting the relevant connection or OTG function, so match the adapter to the port and accessory you intend to use rather than relying on the broad compatibility wording alone.
Usage tips
For a simple everyday task, such as accessing files on a USB drive from a compatible USB-C laptop, this adapter avoids carrying a longer lead just to bridge the two connector types. It may also suit a tablet or OTG phone when you need to connect a compatible USB accessory. The advertised 10Gbps rate is useful context, but the actual transfer rate will also depend on the connected device and accessory.
It makes sense if you want a compact adapter for one connection and your devices match the stated compatibility. If you regularly need to connect several accessories at once, a hub is a more suitable type of purchase, this unit has one port. Better avoided if your intended device does not support the required connection or OTG use.
Buyers describe the adapter as compact and useful for connecting older USB accessories to USB-C ports, and some mention that it works well. Feedback on durability is mixed, however: while some find it sturdy, others say it can break easily. That makes it worth handling with care, particularly if it will be carried loose with keys or other items.
Getting the most from it
Before relying on it for a particular device, check that the device has a compatible USB-C connection and supports the accessory you plan to attach. The product information lists several laptops, tablets and phones, but it does not establish compatibility with every USB-C device. Depending on how you use it, that quick check matters more than the adapter’s small size.
Final verdict
This is a focused choice for bridging a USB accessory to a compatible USB-C device, with compact dimensions and a stated 10Gbps transfer rate. It is more suited to a single connection than to expanding a workstation or connecting multiple peripherals. Choose it when its listed connection type matches your everyday task, consider another format if you need several ports or broader connectivity in one accessory.
