Smiffys 50885 Inflatable Lifeguard Hunk Swim Ring, Red & White, 88cm/35in
Product description
For adults putting together a Hawaiian luau or fancy-dress outfit, this Smiffys inflatable swim ring adds a clear lifeguard look in red and white. Its novelty design makes it a distinctive accessory for themed parties, costume events and dress-up occasions.
The ring’s 88cm/35in size gives the outfit a bold finishing touch, while its inflatable format is easy to bring along for a poolside-themed celebration.
Size & fit
This is a one-size ring, with stated dimensions of 88.9L x 88.9W centimetres. It is described for adults, and the red-and-white lifeguard design is made to stand out as part of a Hawaiian or beach-themed costume. If you are choosing between a plain swim ring and a novelty accessory, this design puts the costume element front and centre.
As a practical costume prop, it suits a luau party, fancy-dress gathering or a poolside event where a playful lifeguard look fits the theme. It is identified as a buoyancy aid, but should only be used in water where the user is within their depth, children must be supervised by an adult.
Where it shines
The lifeguard styling gives the ring a recognisable theme without needing a complicated costume piece. Pair it with Hawaiian dress-up accessories for a coordinated luau look, or use it as the main novelty detail when a simple outfit needs a more humorous finishing touch. Its inflatable ring shape is easy to carry to an event and can be put to use as part of the display once there.
Customer feedback highlights its humour and appeal as a gag gift. Views on quality are mixed, and some buyers report seam holes and deflation during use, alongside concerns about durability and value. That feedback makes it especially suited to buyers prioritising a fun, themed accessory for a costume occasion rather than choosing a ring primarily for long-term use.

Is it worth it?
Worth considering if you want a recognisable lifeguard prop to bring humour to a Hawaiian luau, fancy-dress outfit or themed gathering. The red-and-white design and inflatable ring format make the costume idea immediately clear, while the one-size format keeps choosing straightforward. It is a more characterful pick than a plain ring when the priority is a playful look and a memorable party accessory.
