Ravensburger Minecraft Builders & Biomes Junior 24615 Cooperative Board Game

For a family game night, Ravensburger Minecraft Builders & Biomes Junior turns the familiar block-building world into a shared tabletop challenge. Players work together to build a farm and give its animals a home. Can the group gather what it needs before the monsters get in the way? The cooperative goal gives everyone a part in the same win.

Technical overview

Designed as a junior version of Minecraft Builders & Biomes, this is a cooperative board game for children aged five and up. Players reveal animal or monster cards, then use a pickaxe and shovel to collect blocks for farm buildings such as stables and torches. Careful block removal matters: blocks falling into the lava add a tactical element to each turn. The group wins by building enough stables, collecting animal cards and filling the farm plan.

Who it’s for

This junior edition suits children who enjoy Minecraft and are ready to play a game with shared rules and a common objective. Because the group succeeds or loses together, it offers a different feel from board games centred on beating individual opponents. Players can help each other decide which blocks to collect and how to approach the farm, bringing teamwork and simple tactical choices into the game.

It also works well for a short indoor activity with family or friends: set up a round, reveal a card and take turns trying to collect the blocks needed for the farm. With a stated playing time of 20 minutes, it can fit neatly into a game session without requiring a long stretch of play. The clear instructions and junior format make it a practical way to introduce younger players to a Minecraft-themed board game.

What’s included

Clear instructions are included, with the rules and objective explained for play. The game centres on collecting blocks with the pickaxe and shovel, building farm structures and working towards the shared goal. Players can use the instructions to follow the sequence of play and see what the group needs to complete the farm.

Should you buy it?

Choose this edition if you want Minecraft-themed play with a cooperative objective rather than a contest between players. The block-collecting challenge gives children a hands-on way to make decisions together, while the farm-building goal keeps each turn connected to the group’s progress. For young Minecraft fans aged five and up, it brings the game’s building theme to a short, shared board-game session.
