Asmodee AMGSWQ138 Star Wars: Legion Outer Rim Outlaws Miniatures Expansion

Some Star Wars: Legion players want to expand their forces with more units, others are looking for recognisable characters and fresh tactical choices. Outer Rim Outlaws takes the character-led approach, bringing Boba Fett (Daimyo), Din Djarin and Grogu to the tabletop with cards to support their use in your army.

The box contains four unpainted miniatures and three bases, giving players and hobby painters a focused set of iconic figures to add to their collection.

Pros

The three featured characters bring different roles to the battle. Boba Fett offers control-focused play, Grogu provides Force-sensitive support, and Din Djarin adds a versatile combat presence. Together, they add character and narrative flavour to a Star Wars: Legion force, as well as new tactical options through the included cards.

For a game night, the expansion gives two players a character-focused way to build on their existing Star Wars: Legion sessions. It’s also suited to collectors who want these figures in unpainted form, ready to display or work on as a hobby project. If your priority is adding named characters rather than a broader spread of units, this set puts its focus firmly on the galaxy’s outlaws.

Key points

The set includes three Unit Cards, five Upgrade Cards and seven Command Cards. These support the miniatures in play and offer ways to customise your tactics and army lists. The four plastic miniatures represent Boba Fett (Daimyo), Din Djarin and Grogu, with three bases supplied. The figures are unpainted, so they can also suit players who enjoy painting their collection.

Is a character-led addition more useful to your army than a wider selection of troops? Outer Rim Outlaws gives you familiar characters and their associated cards in one expansion, with a distinct narrative focus for skirmishes and larger army battles.

This is an expansion for Star Wars: Legion, not a standalone game: a Star Wars: Legion Core Set is required to play. The product is intended for two players aged 14 and up, and its cards are in English. The miniatures do not require assembly, making it straightforward to bring the set into your collection before painting or play.

Practical tips

Keep the cards with the miniatures between sessions so the character abilities and customisation options are easy to find when organising an army list. If you paint the figures, their unpainted finish gives you room to choose a look that suits your collection. Store the three bases with the miniatures to keep the set together for your next game.

Buying verdict

A solid pick if you already play Star Wars: Legion and want to add Boba Fett (Daimyo), Din Djarin and Grogu rather than expand with a general-purpose unit. The character-specific cards give the expansion a clear role in army customisation, while the four unpainted miniatures make it appealing to collectors and hobby painters too. With a Core Set on hand, it brings a focused dose of Star Wars character and tactical variety to the table.
