YIXUND Bird Climbing Mat with Seagrass and Rearrangeable Chew Toys

Small and medium-sized birds need ways to climb, forage and nibble as part of their daily routine. The YIXUND climbing mat brings these activities together in one hanging play area. Its seagrass base is decorated with colourful toys made from natural materials and acrylic chain. Rearrange the nibble toys or add a bird’s favourite toys to refresh the setup.

The mat combines a textured base with varied pieces for birds to explore. Wood, paper, cornhusk and other natural materials offer different surfaces and textures for nibbling, while the climbing layout encourages movement. Rather than relying on one standalone chew toy, it gives birds a range of play elements in a single area. The hooks provide a straightforward way to hang it in a bird’s environment.

Everyday compatibility

Designed for budgies and other similarly sized small to medium birds, the playground is also suited to cockatiels, parrots and lovebirds. It can add an activity area to a bird’s cage or broader environment, giving your companion a place to climb, investigate textures and search among the play pieces. Match the setup to your bird’s size and usual play habits, and position it where the bird can reach and use it comfortably.

For example, place the mat in the bird’s everyday space as an alternative activity to perching in one spot. A bird can move across the surface, work at the chew toys and explore the different materials. This combination makes the mat useful for owners looking to offer more varied enrichment than a single hanging toy provides, while keeping the activities together in one designated area.

Getting the most from it

The toys can be rearranged or supplemented with your bird’s favourite toys, so the layout can change as its interests do. Moving the pieces around creates a fresh arrangement to investigate without changing the mat’s basic role as a climbing and foraging playground. Keep the activities suited to your bird and its space, and make sure the hooks are securely fastened when installing the mat.

Use the different elements to encourage natural behaviours such as nibbling, foraging, preening and climbing. The seagrass surface and varied toy materials offer several ways to engage, supporting both physical activity and mental stimulation during everyday play. For a bird that benefits from more to explore, combining these activities in one hanging mat can help make its environment more engaging.

Is it worth it?

The YIXUND mat is a practical choice for bird owners who want climbing and chewable enrichment in one product, rather than a play area centred on just one toy. Its range of materials supports different ways to explore, and the rearrangeable pieces make it easy to vary the setup with familiar favourites. It is especially well suited to budgies, cockatiels, lovebirds, parrots and similarly sized birds whose daily environment can benefit from more opportunities to climb, forage and investigate.
