VASAGLE URMB651BD02 Queen Metal Bed Frame, 14-Inch Platform with Storage

A raised 14-inch platform creates useful space beneath this queen bed for storing seasonal clothing or suitcases. The VASAGLE metal frame supports a mattress without a box spring, helping keep the setup straightforward. Need a practical way to make better use of bedroom floor space? Its matte black finish also suits a range of room styles.

Tips for day-to-day use

Use the under-bed clearance to keep items such as suitcases and seasonal clothes organized and out of the main living area. This can be especially handy in a small apartment or dorm, where making use of the space beneath the bed helps keep the floor clearer. The queen platform is designed for a queen mattress, and twist-lock retainers help hold it in place to reduce shifting during everyday use.

During assembly, use the labelled parts and snap-on steel slats to build the frame, then ensure all parts are firmly connected before use. The manufacturer lists a maximum static load capacity of 1,100 lb, keep the total load within that limit.

What stands out

The steel platform combines a central support with six legs, providing a structured base for a queen mattress. Its steel slats and twist-lock mattress retainers are practical details: the slats form the mattress support, while the retainers help keep the mattress positioned without screws. Since the frame does not require a box spring, it offers a direct platform-style setup rather than a bed arrangement that depends on a separate box spring.

The 14-inch height is the key choice for shoppers who want usable storage below the bed, rather than a low-profile frame with less clearance. A matte black, powder-coated finish gives the frame a simple look that can work in a bedroom or guest room. The design also allows a headboard to be attached, giving you the option to personalize the sleeping area.

Buyer feedback often highlights straightforward assembly and the frame’s appearance. Some customers also report receiving damaged parts or experiencing breakage early in use, so take care when assembling and make sure the connections are secure before placing the bed in service.
