Valuetoner Supply PG-243XL/CL-244XL Canon-Compatible Ink Cartridge 2-Pack

For everyday printing at home, this two-cartridge set pairs black ink for text and documents with tri-colour ink for colour pages. It includes a remanufactured PG-243XL black cartridge and CL-244XL tri-colour cartridge, giving you both cartridge types in one purchase for compatible Canon PIXMA inkjet printers.

The set’s stated yields are 255 pages for black and 215 pages for colour, based on 5% coverage on A4 paper. That makes it practical to plan for routine printing while keeping black and colour cartridges together.

Technical overview

• Type: Remanufactured, Canon-compatible ink cartridges
• What’s included: 1 PG-243XL black cartridge and 1 CL-244XL tri-colour cartridge
• Page yield: 255 pages for black, 215 pages for colour, at 5% coverage on A4 paper
• Printer type: Inkjet

The black cartridge is suited to text-heavy printing, while the tri-colour cartridge serves colour documents and other everyday pages. Buying the two together gives you the matching black-and-colour combination rather than sourcing each cartridge separately. An upgraded intelligent chip is listed as part of the cartridge design, and the cartridges are intended for use with the printer models below.

What it works with

This set is listed for Canon PIXMA MG2420, MG2520, MG2522, MG2525, MG2920, MG2922, MG2924, MG3020 and MG3022 printers, MX490 and MX492, TR4520 and TR4522, TS202, TS302, TS3120, TS3122, TS3320, TS3322 and TS3429, and the iP2820. Match your printer’s model number to this list when choosing cartridges, as compatibility is specific to the listed models.

For a household printer used for a mix of forms, schoolwork and colour documents, having both cartridge types on hand supports different print jobs without needing to buy a black-only or colour-only cartridge set. The listed compatible models include PIXMA all-in-one printers as well as other PIXMA inkjet models, so the cartridge choice is based on the exact printer model rather than its general series name.

Usage tips

Use the black cartridge for text-led pages and the tri-colour cartridge for colour printing. Keep the printer model details nearby when selecting replacements, especially if several PIXMA models are used at home or in a shared workspace. The yield figures are based on 5% page coverage on A4 paper, pages with more ink coverage may use ink differently. For best model matching, use the full printer name from the compatibility list rather than relying on a partial model number.

Final verdict

This PG-243XL and CL-244XL pair is a practical choice for owners of the listed Canon PIXMA printers who need both black and colour ink in one set. Its clear cartridge pairing and stated page yields make it easy to plan for regular home or small-workspace printing, from everyday text to colour pages.
