Steven Halpern IPM8075 432 Hz Music For Massage Vol. 2 Audio CD

Tech specs

For massage therapists seeking music created specifically to accompany a session, Steven Halpern’s 432 Hz Music For Massage Vol. 2 offers atmospheric compositions shaped around that setting. Its tracks are tuned to 432 Hz and bring together expressive musicianship with sounds including cello, crystal bowls, harp, bamboo flute and ocean waves. That range gives the music a varied, immersive character while keeping the focus on a calm treatment-room atmosphere.

This is the follow-up to Halpern’s Music for Massage. It suits a therapist building a dedicated music selection for appointments, as well as listeners who enjoy ambient new age music at home. Rather than choosing general background music, you can select an album whose stated purpose and sound are centred on massage.

Usage tips

Use the album as part of the listening environment during a massage session, where its atmospheric arrangements can provide a consistent musical backdrop. The different featured sounds offer variety across the album: the first track features cello by Grammy winner David Darling, while other key tracks bring in crystal bowls, harp, bamboo flute and relaxing ocean waves. This makes it a fitting choice for practitioners who want music with more texture than a simple, uniform background loop.

For a practical setup, choose the album as the session’s music before the client arrives, then set playback through a CD player in the treatment space. It can also be played at home when you want to listen to music made for massage settings. The music is intended to complement the environment, the therapist can still shape the session around the client and the room.

Getting the most from it

The album’s massage focus is its clearest point of difference. Steven Halpern has worked with healing music in destination spas and massage schools for over 40 years, and this release brings that context to a collection tuned to 432 Hz. If you are assembling music for a practice, it offers a purpose-built alternative to selecting unrelated ambient tracks one by one. The mix of cello, bowls, harp, flute and ocean-wave sounds also gives you several distinct musical colours within a single album.
