Evanescence 2069652 Anywhere But Home Live CD and 2-Hour DVD
Product description
Some music releases focus on listening, others give you a way to revisit the performance on screen as well. Evanescence’s Anywhere But Home brings both formats together, pairing a full-length live CD with a DVD featuring a full-length concert filmed in Europe in summer 2004.
The two-disc set also adds music videos and behind-the-scenes footage, including moments of the band at play. It offers a more complete look at the live show and the people around it than an audio-only release.
How to use it
Listen to the full-length live CD when you want the concert experience in audio, then switch to the DVD to watch the full performance. The DVD also gives you music videos and tour-making footage, so it can suit an evening spent exploring more than the concert alone. For a shared music night, the concert footage gives everyone a performance to watch, for a quieter listen, the CD keeps the live set in audio format.
Why it makes sense
The appeal here is the combination of a full live album and visual extras in one set. Rather than choosing between an audio recording and a concert film, you get both, along with music videos and behind-the-scenes material. What better way to revisit a live show than to hear it and see the performance? The footage was filmed live in Europe in summer 2004, giving the concert a clear place and time in the band’s touring history.
Customer feedback highlights the live performances and the vocalist, with listeners praising the vocals and enjoying the concert recordings. Reactions to sound quality and disc playback are mixed, so experiences vary. The set’s format and included video material make it especially relevant to fans who want a live performance as well as extra band footage.
