SONGMICS ULPI02W Two-Story Pet Playpen, White Metal Mesh, 36 Panels

At 143 x 73 x 71 cm, the SONGMICS ULPI02W gives small pets a roomy indoor area arranged across two levels. Its white metal mesh panels make it easy to keep an eye on your pet from different angles.

The 36 panels connect with ABS plastic fittings, so you can shape the enclosure to suit your space and your pet’s setup. Add familiar items such as a bed, toys and a water bowl to make the area more welcoming.

Rounded panel edges and included cable ties support a more secure assembly. The connectors also have non-slip pads for contact with the floor, helping the enclosure stay in place during everyday indoor use.

Tips for day-to-day use

The panel-based design gives you flexibility to organize the enclosure around your room rather than being tied to one fixed shape. For example, set it up as a dedicated play area in a living space, then furnish it with your pet’s usual resting spot and water bowl. The mesh keeps the animal visible while it explores, making the enclosure practical for supervised indoor time.

During assembly, insert each panel corner fully into its connector and secure neighbouring panels with the supplied cable ties. The instructions recommend applying the non-slip pads to connectors resting on the floor. If using the rubber mallet to fit the panels, tap gently rather than striking forcefully. The playpen is intended for indoor use, avoid extended outdoor use and keep it away from heat sources. Its wire spacing is 1 inch, so consider that measurement in relation to your pet when planning the enclosure.

Buyers often describe assembly as straightforward and appreciate the space for small animals such as guinea pigs. Some also praise its sturdiness, while feedback on stability and connectors is mixed. A few purchasers would prefer a door, so factor in how you plan to access the enclosure when choosing a panel layout.

Compared with a fixed-shape cage, this panel system lets you customize the footprint and create a two-level arrangement. That flexibility is useful when you want an enclosure that can be set up to suit a particular indoor area and adjusted to your pet’s routine.
