MayPaw MA040 Nylon Rope Dog Leash, 10 ft, Padded Handle, Swivel Clasp
Product description
Spec sheet
For medium and large dogs, a lead needs to offer a secure connection while staying comfortable to hold during everyday outings. The MayPaw MA040 pairs braided nylon rope with a padded handle and a rotating clasp, giving you practical features for walks and outdoor training.
This Green Black leash measures 10 ft and uses a 1/2-inch-thick rope. Its length gives a dog room to explore and sniff while you stay connected, making it a useful middle ground between keeping a dog close on a short lead and choosing a much longer line for open-area recall practice.

How to use it
Clip the clasp to a collar or harness before setting out. The rotating connection follows your dog’s turns to help reduce leash twisting, while the padded handle gives you a more comfortable place to hold the rope on a regular walk. The clasp is designed to attach and release quickly, and the manufacturer describes it as compatible with most collars and harnesses.
The 10 ft length suits neighbourhood walks, exploring and sniffing, and outdoor training where a little more room is useful. For example, on a wide trail, your dog can move ahead to investigate while you keep hold of the leash. What makes this length practical? It offers more range than a close-control lead without moving into the longer-line lengths intended for extended recall practice.
The leash is made for medium and large dogs, with braided nylon construction and a metal swivel clasp. It is not chew-proof, so keep it out of reach when it is not being used if your dog chews leads.
Included in the pack
The pack contains one Green Black MayPaw rope dog leash in the 10 ft length. The leash has a padded foam handle and a snap clasp, so the main walking features are part of the lead itself. After a muddy or sandy outing, rinse the leash with water and hang it to air-dry. Avoid prolonged soaking or heavy scrubbing to help maintain the foam handle.
Questions before you buy
How thick is the rope? The braided nylon rope is 1/2 inch thick, giving you a substantial lead to hold for walks with a medium or large dog.
Does the clasp rotate? Yes. The 360° swivel clasp turns as your dog moves, helping reduce twisting during walks and outdoor activity.
Can I use it for a dog that chews its leash? It is not chew-proof. It is intended for dogs that do not chew their leads, the manufacturer recommends a metal cable leash for aggressive chewers.
Buying verdict
This 10 ft option is suited to dog owners who want a padded grip, braided nylon rope and a rotating snap clasp in one everyday lead. Buyer feedback is positive about functionality and appearance, while views on thickness and durability are mixed. If your walks include sniffing stops or outdoor training and you want more range than a short lead provides, the MayPaw MA040 brings those practical needs together in a clear, specific format.
