SONGMICS ULPI016BH01 Two-Tier Small Animal Playpen with Clear Roof

At 36.6 x 24.8 x 24.2 inches, the SONGMICS playpen creates a roomy indoor area for small animals. Its two-tier layout and built-in ramp add space to move between levels.

Steel wire panels form the enclosure, while a transparent roof helps you keep an eye on your pets. The black Oxford fabric mat has raised edges to contain everyday messes and help protect the floor.

Top openings make feeding and cleaning easier, and a side door provides convenient access. With a choice between a simple floor-level pen and a multi-level habitat, this design offers pets more room to explore and rest.

The clear roof panels help keep small animals inside while maintaining visibility from outside the enclosure. The raised mat edges help keep loose bedding and minor spills contained, making the pen a practical fit for a living room or another indoor space. The side door and top access points also give you options for reaching pets during daily care.

Requirements

This playpen is intended for indoor use with small animals. The product information names guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, chicks and ducklings among suitable examples. Assemble the panels by inserting them into the connectors, then tap the joints securely into place with the included mallet. Use the included cable ties to reinforce neighbouring panels, and make sure each metal panel is fully seated in its connector.

Usage tips

Choose a level indoor spot with enough surrounding room to open the top panels and reach the side door. During setup, connect the panels into the rectangular layout and reinforce the joins with the cable ties for added stability. The top openings are useful when placing food or fresh bedding, while the clear panels allow visual checks without opening the enclosure.

For routine care, wipe the Oxford fabric base with a wet cloth. The raised edges help keep messes on the mat rather than directly on the floor, and the removable panel layout makes it easier to reach into the habitat for cleaning and rearranging. Buyers often highlight the generous space and straightforward assembly, feedback on cleaning and access is mixed, and some report durability concerns, including mat tears.

Before you decide

How do the two levels connect? The habitat has a built-in ramp, giving pets a route between the levels for moving around and resting.

Can you see pets through the roof? Yes. The transparent roof panels are designed to keep pets in view while the enclosure remains closed.

What helps keep the enclosure stable? Insert the wire panels fully into their connectors, tap the joints into place with the included mallet and secure neighbouring panels with the included cable ties.

Is it worth it?

For small-animal owners looking for more than a basic single-level pen, the two-tier layout, ramp and broad access points create a practical indoor habitat for activity and routine care. The transparent roof keeps pets visible, while the raised-edge mat helps manage everyday mess. Its combination of open viewing, flexible access and room to move makes it a useful fit for a dedicated small-pet area at home.
