Smartish Gripmunk BG25PX-BLACK MagSafe Case for iPhone 17/18 Pro Max
Product description
Heading out with your iPhone 17 Pro Max or iPhone 18 Pro Max? The Smartish Gripmunk case adds textured sides for a steadier hold and magnets for attaching MagSafe accessories, without the bulk of a rugged-style case.
Its raised edges and air-pocket corners are designed to add protection around the screen, camera and corners. The case is drop-tested from 6 feet onto concrete, but that test is not a guarantee against damage from every fall.
It’s a slim, everyday case with a specific compatibility range: the manufacturer says it fits both iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Pro Max. It isn’t presented as a universal iPhone case.
Usage tips
For a commute, the built-in magnets can attach the phone to a MagSafe car mount, while the textured sides and finger grooves are intended to help when taking photos one-handed or pulling the phone from a pocket. The case also supports wireless charging, so charging does not require removing it. Camera Control and Action buttons, the charger port and speaker have openings or access points, according to the product details.
The raised lip sits 1mm above the screen and camera, and the manufacturer states that the case adds 2mm of thickness to the back of the phone. That makes it a more protective approach than carrying the phone bare, while remaining slimmer than a rugged case. You’ll like it if you want grip, MagSafe attachment and everyday drop protection in one case. It’s not for you if your phone is not one of the two listed Pro Max models.
What stands out
The Gripmunk combines a soft microfiber-lined interior with a rubber shell, grippy sides and a smooth back. Its corner air pockets are intended to absorb impact, while the raised edges help keep the screen and camera from resting directly on a flat surface. The extra-strong magnets are designed to hold MagSafe chargers, wallets and mounts, including during bumpy commutes.
Buyer feedback commonly appreciates the case’s secure feel in hand and slim design. Those comments can help set expectations for handling and appearance, but they are personal impressions rather than a substitute for the stated compatibility and drop-test details.

Questions before you buy
Will it fit both listed Pro Max phones? The manufacturer describes this case as cross-compatible with iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Pro Max. It is not listed for other iPhone models.
Can you use MagSafe and wireless charging with it on? Yes. The built-in magnets are intended for MagSafe accessories, and the case is described as compatible with wireless charging.
Does it protect the screen and camera? Raised edges sit above both, and the case has air-pocket corners. The stated concrete drop test offers a useful reference, not a guarantee that a phone will remain undamaged in every accident.
Is it worth it?
The Gripmunk makes sense if you want a pocket-friendly case that combines a grippy feel, MagSafe attachment and raised screen and camera edges. Its appeal is the combination of daily handling features rather than a particularly rugged build. If your priority is a heavier-duty case, this slim design may not be the approach you want, if your phone is one of the two supported Pro Max models and you prefer a less bulky case, its features are more directly relevant.
