NOMTOS NM0001 XL Hard-Bottom Dog Car Seat Cover, Foldable and Waterproof

Everyday use

The XL NOMTOS NM0001 hard-bottom dog car seat cover is designed for full-size trucks and SUVs. Its foldable, one-piece layout creates a cushioned area across the back seat for dogs during everyday drives or longer trips. An EPE sponge cushion over a PVC support base gives the surface a firmer, flatter feel, while the extended panel helps keep dogs positioned away from the seat gaps. The front mesh window supports airflow and visibility between the front and rear seating areas.

The cover has an eight-layer construction that includes Oxford fabric, a waterproof coating, EPE sponge, a PVC load-bearing plate and a non-slip backing. Side panels and adjustable straps help hold the wrap-around cover in place and extend coverage to the seat sides and doors. For a vet visit, for example, it can be set up to give a dog a dedicated back-seat space, then folded into its portable bag for storage between trips. Cleaning can be done with a damp cloth, a vacuum or a washing machine.

Pros

A seamless, one-piece design avoids joined sections across the main cover, while reinforced outer straps and metal side hooks support the base and side panels. The foldable PVC board design lets the cover be packed away or hung behind the front seats, making it useful for drivers who want a dog-ready back seat without leaving the cover permanently spread out.

The XL size is intended for full-size SUVs and trucks, and the manufacturer also identifies Tesla Model Y as a suitable vehicle. The adjustable straps and side panels help adapt the cover to different interior layouts. Buyers have highlighted its construction, fit, durability and dog-friendly use, making those points especially relevant when choosing a back-seat cover for regular travel with a pet.

Compared with a soft hammock-style cover, this option adds a cushioned hard-bottom base to create a more level surface for dogs. That structure is the key distinction for owners looking for both seat coverage and a firmer place for their pet to ride.

Before you decide

Which vehicles is the XL size designed for? It is intended for full-size SUVs and trucks. The manufacturer also names Tesla Model Y as a fit, and notes XL for vehicles with a greater distance from the back seat to the front-seat headrests than a Tesla Model 3.

How should the hard-bottom base be set up? Insert the liner mat correctly into its pocket, then attach and adjust the outer straps slightly higher than the back seat. This setup helps support the base and keep it in position.

Can the cover be folded for storage? Yes. The folding panel design allows the cover to be folded and hung behind the front seats, or packed into its portable bag when not in use.

Is it worth it?

For dog owners with a full-size truck or SUV, the NOMTOS NM0001 combines back-seat and side coverage with a cushioned, structured base. Its foldable design, mesh window and practical cleaning options suit regular pet travel, while the XL format is the defining choice for larger vehicle interiors.
