NICETOWN 2 Blackout Curtain Panels, 52W × 84L, Black

For bedrooms, living rooms and home theatres where daylight control matters, these black blackout curtains help make the space more comfortable for sleep, relaxation or movie watching. The two-panel set measures 52W × 84L inches per panel. Its three-layer polyester weave is designed to block most incoming light, while the black middle layer supports the room-darkening effect.

The essentials

The fabric blocks 80%–90% of sunlight and provides 90% UV protection, helping reduce glare and direct sun on furniture. That makes it useful for daytime naps and for limiting reflections on a TV screen. Dark colours filter more sunlight than light colours, so the black finish is a practical choice when light control is a priority.

Each panel is made from 100% polyester with a three-layer weave. The curtains are wrinkle-resistant and thermally insulated, helping regulate indoor temperature through the seasons. The manufacturer states that they can help maintain a stable indoor temperature within ±2–3°C and reduce heating and cooling costs. The fabric is also described as abrasion- and tear-resistant, OEKO-TEX certified and formaldehyde-free.

How to use it

The panels hang from silver grommets with a 1.6-inch inner diameter, making them easy to slide along a compatible curtain rod. Measure the window and rod before choosing a placement, and consider how much window coverage you want when hanging both panels. In a home theatre, closing them across the window can help limit sunlight on the screen, in a bedroom, they can reduce incoming light during daytime rest.

Compared with a lighter-coloured window treatment, this black set is the more direct choice when reducing sunlight and glare is central to the room’s purpose. The classic, solid design also suits a straightforward window treatment in a living room or bedroom without introducing a patterned focal point.

Best use cases

Use the curtains in a bedroom to create a darker setting for sleep or relaxation, including daytime naps. In a living room, the light-blocking fabric can help reduce direct sun on furniture and cut reflections on a television. They also suit home theatres, where controlling daylight can make movie watching more comfortable. Thermal insulation adds a practical year-round benefit for spaces where keeping indoor temperatures more stable is important.
