LIVINGbasics Shower Chair with 5-Level Height Adjustment, Aluminium Frame

Choosing a shower seat can be about creating a steadier place to sit, or making it easier to move between sitting and standing. This LIVINGbasics shower chair brings practical support into the shower or tub.

Its five-level height adjustment lets you set the seat within a range of 17.71–21.65 inches. That makes it a useful choice when a fixed-height seat doesn’t suit your preferred sitting position.

An aluminium frame, angled legs and rubber feet give the design a stable base, while drainage holes and built-in handholds add useful details for everyday bathing.

Tips for day-to-day use

Position the chair inside the shower or tub on a level surface, with all four rubber feet in contact with the floor. Set the seat height to a comfortable level before use, the five settings make it easier to choose a position that works for sitting and standing. The angled legs and rubber tips are designed to help keep the chair in place on a wet surface.

The seat’s drainage holes let water pass through rather than collect on the sitting surface. Its two integrated handholds provide a place to grip when lowering onto or rising from the seat. For a shower routine that involves sitting for washing, these features keep the seat focused on practical support rather than unnecessary extras. The aluminium frame is described as lightweight, making the chair easier to move when the bathing area needs to be cleared.

Getting the most from it

Adjust the seat before stepping into the shower, then use the handholds as you sit down or stand up. Keeping the feet properly positioned on the shower or tub floor helps the chair’s non-slip tips and angled-leg design do their job. The adjustable height is particularly useful when more than one person uses the same bathing space and prefers a different seat position.

Buyer feedback describes the chair as useful for showering, while opinions vary on its sturdiness, assembly and height adjustment. Those differing impressions make it sensible to set it up carefully and confirm the selected height and foot placement before use. The design’s main practical appeal is its combination of adjustable seating, drainage and grip points in a chair intended for a shower or tub.

Should you buy it?

Choose this LIVINGbasics shower chair if you want a dedicated seat for bathing with several height positions, drainage through the seat and rubber-tipped legs. It suits a routine where sitting down for a shower is more comfortable or practical than standing throughout. The handholds offer an additional grip point during transitions, while the aluminium frame keeps the design straightforward for use in the bathroom. For anyone choosing between a fixed-height seat and one that can be adjusted, the five settings are the key reason to consider this model.
