HOMLAND BS1 Adjustable Shower Chair, Light Blue, Aluminium Frame

For older adults and people with disabilities who need to sit while bathing, the HOMLAND chair provides an adjustable seat for use inside a shower or tub. Its lightweight aluminium frame makes it practical to lift for everyday use. A fixed bench suits a permanent bathroom setup, this portable chair offers a seated option that can be moved as needed.

Everyday use

Place the chair on the shower or tub floor to create a seat for bathing without standing throughout the routine. The height adjusts from 14 to 19 inches in 1-inch increments, letting users set the seat to a preferred level within that range. Its overall dimensions are 33.3D x 41.4W x 48.3H centimetres, with a seat measuring 17 inches wide by 10.5 inches long.

The reinforced aluminium alloy frame keeps the chair lightweight at 1.63 kg, while wide, skid-resistant rubber feet are designed to grip the bathing surface. Stainless steel washers reinforce the feet. For a more convenient shower setup, the chair comes with a showerhead clip and bath sponge, an anti-slip cushion is also listed among its features. Assembly is tool-free and comes with a step-by-step manual.

What you’ll notice day to day

Adjustable height is useful when a seat needs to suit a particular bathing routine, while the compact seat dimensions give the chair a defined footprint in the tub or shower. The showerhead clip helps keep the showerhead close at hand, and the sponge supports washing while seated. When the chair needs to be repositioned, its lightweight construction makes it easier to lift than a fixed bathroom bench.

Buyers often praise the straightforward, tool-free assembly and suitability for shower use. Feedback on the height adjustment is mixed: some appreciate being able to adjust the seat, while others find the available height does not suit their needs. The adjustment range is 14 to 19 inches, with settings in 1-inch increments.

What matters most

The main choice is between a permanently installed bench and a movable bathing seat. The HOMLAND chair is designed for the latter: it can be placed inside a shower or tub, and its adjustable height helps tailor the sitting position. The light blue finish and aluminium frame give it a simple, practical look for a bathroom safety setup.

Set the chair on the bathing surface before use, and adjust its legs to the desired height. The broad, skid-resistant feet are designed to help the chair stay in place on the floor. Its stated overall measurements and seat size are useful when planning where it will sit in the bathing area.

Buying verdict

Choose the HOMLAND BS1 when a lightweight, height-adjustable seat is more useful than a fixed bench. Its aluminium frame, non-slip feet, tool-free assembly and included shower accessories support a practical seated bathing routine for older adults and people with disabilities. The adjustable 14- to 19-inch seat makes it a functional fit for users whose bathing setup calls for a movable chair.
