HUANUO Monitor and Laptop Desk Mount for 17-inch Laptops

Best use cases

A monitor and laptop on separate stands can take up the desk space you need for notes, a keyboard or a clear work area. This HUANUO mount brings both screens onto an adjustable arm-and-tray setup, so you can position them together rather than keep shifting between apps. It supports monitors from 13 to 32 inches and laptops up to 17 inches, with a listed weight limit of up to 22 lb. For a workday split between a larger screen and a laptop, it could make a compact desk easier to arrange, the actual fit depends on your equipment and how your desk can be mounted.

A practical setup might put the monitor directly ahead and the laptop slightly to one side for email or reference material, then move the screens into a more comfortable position when you switch tasks. The mount offers clamp and grommet installation, so there are two ways to attach it, depending on the desk. It makes sense if you want adjustable placement for a two-screen workflow without relying on two separate bases. It isn't worth it for you if your laptop is larger than 17 inches or your desk cannot accommodate either mounting method.

Product specs

The mount uses a triple-joint arm that swivels 180° at each joint and extends up to 17 inches. The product description also lists an extra-long 16-inch arm. Its mounting heads tilt by +/- 90°, swivel 180° and rotate 360°, giving you several ways to change screen position and orientation. These movements are useful if you share a desk or need to clear space temporarily, though they also mean you will want to check that the arm’s reach suits your layout.

For installation, the C-clamp fits desks up to 3.07 inches thick. The grommet option is for a desk with a hole and supports a maximum desk thickness of 2.36 inches. A removable VESA plate is included, along with the required tools and hardware. The description does not give VESA pattern sizes, so check your monitor’s mounting details before choosing this setup. It also lists a weight capacity of up to 22 lb without clarifying whether that applies to the combined load or an individual support, take that into account when assessing your monitor and laptop together.

Where it shines

The main appeal is adjustability across two screens, rather than simply lifting a monitor off the desk. You can tilt or turn the monitor, then bring the laptop tray into view when you need both screens. Would that be more useful than a basic fixed stand? If you regularly move between documents on a laptop and a larger monitor, the range of arm movement may help you arrange them for the task. A fixed stand is simpler if you only need one screen at a set height, this mount makes more sense when changing screen positions is part of your routine.

The tray is intended for laptops up to 17 inches, while the monitor support is listed for 13- to 32-inch displays. With that detail missing, the 22 lb limit is worth treating carefully rather than assuming it covers every possible combination. The mount’s fit also depends on desk thickness and, for grommet installation, having a suitable hole.

Final decision

Choose this HUANUO mount if you want a movable monitor-and-laptop arrangement, your devices fall within the stated size limits, and your desk can take a clamp or grommet base. The included tray and removable VESA plate give it a more integrated approach than separate desk stands, especially when you want both screens within reach. Skip it if you need a confirmed VESA pattern, a clearly stated per-arm or combined load limit, or a setup for a laptop larger than 17 inches, those details are not established in the product information.
