AUVON N001A Plug-In LED Backlit Night Light, Amber, Motion Sensor, Dimmable

Some nighttime spaces need light only when someone walks by, others are easier to navigate with a glow that comes on automatically after dark. The AUVON N001A plug-in night light offers both approaches, with motion-activated and dusk-to-dawn modes for bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms and other indoor areas.

This two-pack uses amber backlighting and adjustable brightness from 1–50 lm. Choose a gentle glow for a bedroom or set a brighter level for a route through the hall or kitchen. Its backlit design reflects light onto the wall rather than directing it straight into your eyes.

How to use it

Select motion-sensor mode when you want the light to respond as someone enters a dark area. The sensor detects movement within 3–5 metres and a 120° range, then switches the light off after 60 seconds without detected motion. This is useful for a hallway or bathroom where light is needed while passing through, without leaving it on continuously.

For a steady response to changing light instead, use dusk-to-dawn mode. The light sensor turns the lamp on in darkness and off again in bright conditions. Both modes suit everyday indoor use, while touch controls make it easy to adjust the brightness: a short press cycles through five levels, and a long press dims smoothly across the 1–50 lm range. When it stays connected to power, the light retains its last brightness setting.

Why it’s worth it

The two operating modes let you choose lighting behaviour to suit the room rather than relying on one setting everywhere. Motion activation is handy for brief nighttime trips, while dusk-to-dawn operation provides light when a space becomes dark. The amber shade and diffuse wall reflection create a softer direction of light, and dimming gives you more control over how much illumination the space gets.

The compact plug-in design keeps the second outlet available for another device. A V-0 fire-resistant casing and over-current protection are built into the light. Buyers also frequently appreciate the adjustable glow, warm amber colour and option to use motion or continuous light-sensor operation, making the controls useful across different rooms and nighttime routines.
