Feandrea UPPD001B01 Heavy-Duty Dog Crate with Removable Tray, XL Black

For medium and large dogs that need a dedicated indoor space, the Feandrea UPPD001B01 combines a heavy-duty metal frame with two doors and a pull-out tray. Its XL dimensions give dogs room to enter and settle, while the removable parts offer flexibility for everyday use.

If you want a fixed den with a covered top, keep the crate assembled as a kennel. If you need a more open space, remove the top lid to create a playpen-style area.

The metal-wire design keeps the interior airy and makes it easy to see your dog. A narrower 1.5-inch wire spacing and reinforced frame provide a sturdy structure, while the smooth wire finish is designed without sharp edges. The large door supports easy entry and exit, the smaller door gives you another way to feed or interact with your dog. Its low threshold is intended to make entry easier for short-legged dogs.

Everyday compatibility

This crate is intended for indoor use and is recommended for medium and large breeds, including Border Collies, American Bulldogs and Huskies. Its two-door layout suits everyday routines: your dog can use the main entrance, while the smaller door gives you convenient access for feeding or interaction. The XL footprint measures 42.1 x 27.6 x 29.5 inches, so it can serve as a defined resting area in a suitable indoor space.

Choose a crate by measuring your dog while standing upright: measure from nose to the base of the tail for length, then from the top of the head to the floor for height. The manufacturer recommends adding 4 inches to each measurement when selecting a size. Remove your dog’s collar or leash before it enters the crate.

Practical tips

The pull-out tray can be removed for cleaning, and the stoppers underneath help keep it in place during use. The large door and top lid are also removable, so you can adapt the setup to your space and routine, removing the lid allows the crate to function as a playpen. Assembly involves tightening eight screws.

Buyers highlight the crate’s size for full-size dogs and often describe assembly and everyday use as straightforward. Opinions are mixed on durability and secure fit, so take time during setup to position the panels and fasten the locks properly. The five L-shaped locks help keep the doors secured during use.

Buying verdict

Choose the Feandrea UPPD001B01 if you want an XL indoor crate with a removable tray, two access doors and a top that can come off for a more open arrangement.
