THRISEED Dog Pooper Scooper Set, stainless steel

If quick pick-ups around the yard are the priority, a tray-and-rake set is a straightforward way to collect waste without reaching down by hand. This THRISEED set is designed for that kind of routine.

Its longer, adjustable handles also suit people who would rather avoid bending or squatting for each clean-up.

The trade-off is a two-piece tool to assemble and store, rather than a compact, single-piece scoop.

Best use cases

The tray and rake are intended for picking up dog waste across grass, dirt, gravel and small rocks. The rake gathers waste into the tray, so the set is aimed at outdoor clean-up where a flat surface or bag alone may be awkward to use. It can also be used for garden leaves and other debris, which may make it handy to keep near the yard rather than bringing it out only for pet clean-up.

Picture a quick trip outside after your dog has been in the garden: the rake moves the waste onto the tray, and the longer handles let you stay upright while collecting it. The handles are adjustable and detachable, with the tray reaching up to 38 inches and the rake up to 36.2 inches. Those maximum lengths offer useful reach, though they may not suit every preferred working height.

Product specs

The set combines stainless steel handles, an aluminium tray and a solid metal rake. Its metal construction is described as durable and lightweight, with the complete set weighing about 1.5 pounds. A coating is intended to protect the metal from rust during outdoor storage and to make cleaning easier, that is not the same as a stated guarantee against rust, so storage conditions still matter.

Assembly uses push-in connections that lock without tools. The handles are made from three detachable tubes for each tool, and the pieces are separated and labelled for the tray or rake. Once assembled, the tray and rake can snap together for storage. Holes in the handle grips also allow them to be hung on a wall, while the detachable parts can be tucked away in a garage or yard corner.

Where it shines

The main practical advantage is the combination of reach and a separate tray and rake. Compared with a basic hand-held scoop, this layout is more suited to recurring yard clean-ups when bending is a concern or when waste needs to be gathered from grass or gravel. The metal components may also appeal to buyers who would rather avoid a plastic scoop, while the stated total weight keeps the set portable.

How often will you use both pieces? If most clean-ups are small and happen indoors, a simpler scoop may be easier to keep nearby. For outdoor jobs, the rake-and-tray approach gives you a way to gather debris as well as pet waste, but it does mean assembling and storing two tools. The listing describes a protective coating, but gives no further detail about care or long-term weather exposure.

Final decision

It makes sense if you want an adjustable-handle set for regular outdoor pick-ups and value being able to use the rake and tray across several yard surfaces. Based on what the listing says, the metal parts, tool-free assembly and snap-together storage are the clearest reasons to consider it.

Better to avoid it if you need a one-piece scoop, mainly clean up indoors, or want a stated rustproof guarantee for leaving tools outside. Its reach is useful, but the set still needs somewhere to store both pieces between uses.
