Dreamegg Sunrise 1 MBZ226 Sound Machine Alarm Clock, 29 Sounds & 9-Colour Light

Pair a simulated sunrise with soothing sounds for a gentler start to the day. The Dreamegg Sunrise 1 combines an alarm clock, sound machine and night light in one bedside device.

Choose from 29 sounds, including nature sounds, meditations, lullabies, white, brown and pink noise, and fan sounds. The range makes it easy to set a calming background for bedtime, quiet time or a morning routine.

Its nine-colour night light has adjustable brightness and works independently of the sounds. Set the functions directly on the device, without connecting a phone.

Benefits

The Sunrise 1 is designed to support both sides of a daily routine: winding down at night and waking in the morning. At bedtime, select a sound to create a soothing atmosphere, then use the night light at a comfortable brightness. The light can be controlled separately, so you can adjust it without changing your sound choice.

For mornings, the simulated sunrise pairs with natural sounds to create a gradual-feeling wake-up routine. It offers an alternative to relying on a sudden alarm alone, while the snooze function gives you another chance to rest before getting up. The clock and sound machine also share a compact bedside footprint, rather than requiring separate devices for these functions.

What matters most

Sound choice is a key part of the experience. With options spanning nature, meditation, lullabies, several types of noise and fan sounds, the device can suit different preferences at bedtime or during a quiet moment. A timer can be set for 30, 60 or 90 minutes, or the sound can stay on continuously, giving you options for a shorter wind-down or an ongoing background.

The light offers nine colours and adjustable brightness, while the display can be dimmed. Its ivory finish and compact dimensions of 15.5 x 9.2 x 8 centimetres make it easy to place on a bedside table or pack for travel, it weighs 318 g. Customer feedback often highlights the sound selection, relaxing alarm and ease of use. Opinions on the lighting and morning-use experience are mixed, so the most useful features to consider are the light settings and wake-up routine that suit your own preferences.

Best use cases

Use the Sunrise 1 on a bedroom nightstand to combine a sleep sound, dimmable display and night light in one spot. It can also suit a child’s bedtime routine: select a calming sound and set the light to a preferred colour and brightness. For travel, its hand-sized design and on-device controls make it practical to bring along without needing a phone connection for setup. Power is corded electric, so plan to use it where a power connection is available.
