Philips GC026 Fabric Shaver with Large Shaving Head and Adjustable Blade Height

If pills and fuzz are making sweaters, other garments or blankets look worn, the Philips GC026 fabric shaver offers a straightforward way to refresh their appearance. Its large shaving head is designed to work quickly with fewer strokes, while three hole sizes handle pills of different sizes.

Adjustable blade height supports use on a range of fabrics, including delicate materials. A removable container makes collected lint easy to empty, and the included cleaning brush helps keep the blades clear. What’s a practical alternative to picking pills off one by one? A fabric shaver gives you a dedicated tool for removing them across a garment or blanket.

Who it’s for

The GC026 suits anyone looking to bring a tidier appearance back to knitwear, clothing and blankets with visible pilling. It’s useful for routine garment care at home: treat a sweater before putting it away, or refresh a blanket when fuzz and bobbles start to stand out. The blue plastic handle gives you a handheld tool for this focused task, and included batteries mean you can get started without sourcing them separately.

For delicate fabrics, the adjustable blade height lets you adapt the shaving head, and a delicate-fabric protector is included. Work carefully over the material, using the setting and protector appropriate to the fabric. If you usually reach for a lint roller or remove bobbles by hand, this model takes a more targeted approach to pills attached to the fabric.

Why it’s worth it

The large shaving surface helps cover more fabric with fewer strokes, while the three hole sizes are made to catch pills of different sizes. Together, these details make the GC026 useful for more than a single sweater: it can also be used on other garments and blankets that need a neater finish. The removable container and supplied brush make the cleanup part of garment care simple, too.

Buyers often highlight how easy the shaver is to use and the refreshed appearance it can give clothing. Feedback is mixed on battery life and its effect on fabric, and some buyers also raise durability concerns. For delicate items, use the adjustable height and included protector with care. The main benefit is a convenient way to tackle visible pilling without treating a garment as ready to retire.
