Downy 30772119860 Liquid Fabric Softener, April Fresh, 4.16 L, 190 Loads

The 4.16 L bottle of Downy April Fresh liquid fabric softener is made for up to 190 loads, bringing softness and a clean, sweet scent to laundry day.

Its 2-in-1 formula softens fabrics while adding freshness, so your routine can do more than washing alone. April Fresh is Downy’s signature scent.

Alongside softness and freshness, the formula is designed to help protect colours, fight stretch, reduce static and fuzz, and reduce wrinkles. It’s compatible with standard and high-efficiency (HE) washing machines.

How to use it

After adding your laundry detergent, measure the fabric softener and pour it into your washing machine’s fabric-softener dispenser or drawer. This keeps it within the regular wash routine without adding a separate step for fabric care. Follow the dosing guidance on the product label for your load.

For a typical household wash, add the measured liquid to the dispenser before starting the cycle. The softener is intended for use across everyday laundry, pairing a softer feel with the April Fresh scent. Choose this approach when you want fabric care and fragrance as part of the wash, a detergent-only routine focuses on cleaning without those added softener benefits.

Where it shines

April Fresh brings a clean, sweet scent to the wash, while the softening action helps fabrics feel more comfortable after laundering. The formula is also designed to help reduce static and fuzz and lessen wrinkles, useful when clothes are going straight from the laundry to storage or wear. Colour protection and stretch-fighting benefits add a fabric-care focus to regular loads.

Customers highlight the fragrance and everyday usefulness, with some describing freshness that lasts beyond wash day. They also appreciate the bottle size and the product’s fit into a regular laundry routine. These are buyer impressions rather than a measure of results for every fabric or load, but they speak to why a scented softener can be appealing for day-to-day laundry.

When it makes sense

This bottle suits households looking to make fabric softener a regular part of laundry day, with up to 190 loads in one format. It’s a useful fit when softness and a lasting April Fresh scent matter alongside added fabric-care benefits. The washer compatibility also makes it straightforward to use in either a standard or HE machine.

Worth considering if you want one liquid product to add softness, fragrance and several fabric-care benefits to routine loads. For laundry where fragrance is a priority, April Fresh gives the wash a recognizable scent, for a routine focused only on detergent, the added softness and freshness of a fabric conditioner may not be part of the goal. Downy combines those benefits in a large-format bottle suited to ongoing household use.
