Conlun ZS-M-CA-N01 Cat Scratcher Mat, Natural Sisal, Brown, 60 × 40 cm

Natural sisal gives cats a dedicated surface for scratching, helping redirect their clawing instincts away from sofas, carpets and other furnishings. The Conlun mat measures 60 × 40 × 0.7 centimetres and has a brown, low-profile design that can sit on the floor or be attached to a suitable surface.

A non-slip latex backing helps keep it in place on the floor, while four hook-and-loop tapes provide another way to position it around the home. Use it as a floor mat, or place it on furniture, a door or a wall to offer a scratching spot where your cat already spends time.

Tips for day-to-day use

Set the mat where your cat naturally likes to scratch, such as beside a sofa or in a favourite indoor spot. For floor use, the anti-slip backing helps it stay positioned during scratching. The included hook-and-loop tapes let you attach the mat to a floor, wall, door or furniture, so you can adapt its placement to your space and your cat’s habits.

The sisal surface also gives the mat more than one role around the home: it can be used as a scratching pad, play mat or litter mat. Its slim profile makes it easy to move between rooms or use in a crate. To tidy away dust, the product guidance suggests vacuuming or wiping the surface with a cloth, care instructions specify hand washing.

What stands out

The main distinction is its natural sisal construction: instead of a cardboard scratcher, this is a reusable fabric mat designed to provide a regular surface for clawing. Its size offers a defined scratching area, while the choice of floor placement or hook-and-loop attachment gives you flexibility to match the mat to your home. The manufacturer describes the material as non-toxic, and the mat is intended for indoor cats at all life stages.

Customers often describe cats taking to the mat and appreciate its appearance, function and durability. Feedback about adhesion is mixed, so the two placement options are useful: the non-slip backing supports floor use, while the tapes provide an alternative for attaching it to a surface. This gives you a practical way to position a scratching area near the furnishings you want to protect.

Key takeaways

This is a medium, brown sisal mat for indoor cat scratching, measuring 60 × 40 × 0.7 centimetres. It can lie on the floor or be attached to furniture, walls and doors with the supplied hook-and-loop tapes. That combination suits homes where a fixed vertical post is not the preferred format, or where a scratching surface needs to fit beside a sofa, on a door or in a crate. Its portable mat design also makes it straightforward to relocate as your cat’s routines change.

Is it worth it?

It’s a good fit if you want a dedicated sisal surface that can work both flat on the floor and attached around the home. The natural material, generous mat format and flexible placement make it a useful choice for giving an indoor cat a regular place to scratch while helping protect carpets and furniture. Choose it when a movable, adaptable mat suits your space better than a standalone scratching structure.
