BalimoPet BP02 Stainless Steel Cat Water Fountain, 2.2 L, Triple Filtration

For an indoor cat that prefers moving water, the BalimoPet BP02 keeps water circulating through a stainless steel fountain with a 2.2 L capacity. Its flowing design offers an alternative to a still-water bowl, while the filtration system helps reduce impurities and odours as water passes through.

A quiet pump and a small emergency water tray add practical touches for everyday use at home.

Key points

The fountain is made from 304 stainless steel, a durable material that’s easy to rinse and clean. Water circulates through a three-stage filter with a cotton layer, activated carbon and ion resin, helping capture particles and absorb odours and contaminants. Three filters and three sponges are included, so you have replacements on hand for routine filter changes.

The pump is rated at 30 dB or less, making quiet operation a key feature for shared living spaces and overnight use. The continuous flow is designed to encourage cats to drink, while the 170 ml emergency tray provides a small reserve if power is interrupted. For a cat that ignores a conventional bowl, could gently moving water make drinking more appealing?

Owners’ feedback often highlights quiet operation, easy setup and cleaning, and pets’ interest in the fountain. Some buyers raise concerns about filter availability, and opinions on durability and value are mixed. These perspectives can help when weighing a circulating fountain against a simpler water bowl.

Size & fit

With a 2.2 L reservoir and a listed weight of 0.6 kg, the BP02 is sized for indoor use with cats and small to medium-sized pets. Its capacity gives you a useful supply between refills, while the stainless steel bowl provides a washable drinking surface. The unit uses corded electric power at 5 volts, so plan to place it indoors within reach of a suitable power source.

Getting the most from it

Set the fountain on a stable indoor surface, fill the reservoir, and use the included manual for setup. Keep the filter and sponge in place as directed so water passes through the intended filtration stages. Regular rinsing helps keep the stainless steel surface clean, and replacing the filter as needed supports continued filtration. The included three filters and three sponges make it straightforward to keep replacement components available at home.

Its circulating water can suit cats drawn to a moving stream, while the low-noise pump is useful where the fountain sits near a living area or bedroom. The emergency tray adds a backup drinking supply during a power interruption, it complements the reservoir rather than replacing regular checks and refills.

Final verdict

The BalimoPet BP02 brings together a 2.2 L capacity, 304 stainless steel construction, three-stage filtration and quiet operation in one indoor cat fountain. It’s a practical fit for cat owners looking to offer moving, filtered water instead of relying only on a static bowl, with included filters and sponges to support ongoing use.
