Awesofurni King Size Bed Frame, 14-Inch Metal Platform with Underbed Storage

A king-size bedroom needs a frame that supports the mattress and makes practical use of the space beneath it. This Awesofurni metal platform frame is made for a king mattress and does not require a box spring. Its raised design leaves room for underbed storage, while the reinforced steel slats and nine legs provide a supportive foundation.

Pros

The platform design keeps the setup straightforward: place a compatible king mattress on the frame without adding a box spring. That can be helpful when you want a simpler bed arrangement and a clear area beneath the mattress for storing bedroom items. With 12 inches of ground clearance, the space under the frame is also accessible for cleaning.

The frame is described as squeak-resistant, with a structure designed to reduce movement and noise during everyday use. Its metal construction and reinforced slats are suited to a bedroom where a stable mattress base matters, whether the bed is for daily use or for hosting guests. Assembly tools and instructions are included to support putting the frame together at home.

Key features

This is a 14-inch king-size metal bed frame with a polished metal finish and a modern look. Its square platform uses reinforced steel slats and nine thickened legs for support. The design works with a king-size mattress and provides underbed storage without relying on a box spring, making it a practical alternative to a setup that uses a separate box spring beneath the mattress.

The frame measures 2.03 x 1.92 x 0.36 meters. It is supplied as a complete bed frame with tools and instructions, so the main components for assembly are together in the package. The product description also identifies it as compatible with most standard-sized headboards, offering flexibility when coordinating the bed with existing bedroom furniture.

Best use cases

This frame suits a main bedroom, guest room, apartment or dormitory where a king-size sleeping surface and useful floor space are both priorities. The open area beneath the bed can hold items that would otherwise take up room elsewhere, and the clearance makes it easier to reach the floor when cleaning. In a guest room, the platform format offers a direct way to set up a king mattress without adding a box spring to the arrangement.

For a bedroom refresh, the polished metal finish and modern style pair with a range of décor approaches. Choose this type of platform frame when you value a raised, storage-friendly bed base, a box-spring setup may make more sense when a separate box spring is part of the bed arrangement you want.

Is it worth it?

For shoppers furnishing a king-size bed, the practical appeal is in combining mattress support and underbed clearance in one metal frame. The no-box-spring-needed platform design keeps the setup simple, while the reinforced slats, nine legs and included assembly tools address the essentials of getting the bed in place. It’s a good fit if you want a king frame that makes space beneath the bed usable for storage and suits everyday bedroom use.
