Amibud SH21.005J-A Extra-Tall Cat Gate with Cat Door, 130 cm, Black

Some households need a barrier that separates larger dogs while still giving cats a way through. Others want a taller gate that can cover a wider opening. The Amibud SH21.005J-A brings those needs together with a built-in cat door and an adjustable fit for openings from 81–129 cm.

At 130 cm tall, it creates a clear boundary for everyday use around doorways, hallways, kitchens and stair areas. Choose pressure mounting for a no-drill setup or hardware mounting for added stability, then use the one-hand latch to move between spaces more easily.

Size & fit

The gate adjusts to fit openings 81–129 cm wide and stands 130 cm tall. Its vertical bars are spaced 3.5 cm apart, helping keep smaller cats from squeezing through the main gate. The built-in cat door offers a separate route for cats and other small pets, while helping keep larger dogs on the other side. Its opening height is adjustable, and the door can also be left open when you want to allow more flexible access.

For a doorway between rooms, this arrangement can help manage access without closing off the route for every pet. The gate is designed for indoor use in areas such as entryways, hallways and kitchens, as well as stair areas. Select pressure mounting when a no-drill installation suits the location, or hardware mounting when you want the added stability of a secured fit.

Why it’s worth it

A barrier that blocks every pet may make it harder to manage a multi-pet home. Here, the built-in cat door gives smaller pets a way through while the taller gate helps separate them from larger dogs. That can be useful for keeping pets in different areas during meals, rest or household routines, while still allowing cats to move between spaces.

The daily details are designed to make passage straightforward. A mid-height latch operates with one hand, and the gate swings in both directions. It stays open beyond 90° and automatically closes when opened to less than 90°, helping manage access as you move through the opening. The reinforced steel frame provides the gate’s structure, with metal and polypropylene listed among its materials.

When it makes sense

It makes sense if you need to divide indoor spaces for pets of different sizes without closing off every route for your cat. For example, you can use the main gate to separate a dog from a kitchen or hallway while allowing a smaller pet to pass through the cat door. The adjustable width helps suit a range of openings, and the choice of mounting method gives you flexibility when setting up the boundary.

Choose the Amibud SH21.005J-A for a taller indoor pet gate that combines a 130 cm barrier, closely spaced bars and dedicated cat access. It’s a practical fit for households looking to manage movement between rooms while keeping cats and larger dogs in separate areas.
