YTFGGY Silicone Stove Cover, 28 x 20 Inches

When a glass-top range doubles as extra counter space, a cover can help protect the surface and give wet dishes somewhere to drain. This YTFGGY silicone stovetop cover also works as a drying mat, with raised ridges to lift dishes and cookware above pooled water. Its size and heat limit matter, though: it must not be placed on an electric range while the range is on.

Key specifications

The mat measures 28 x 20 inches and is made of black silicone. Raised ridges promote airflow under dishes, while a waterproof bottom and raised edges help contain drips. The maker lists heat resistance up to 450°F (232°C), and says the flexible mat is dishwasher-safe and can be rolled for storage. It also has a non-slip surface.

Those details make it more versatile than a basic flat stove cover: it can protect a glass-top surface from scratches, spills, stains, and dirt when the range is off, then serve as a dish-drying area or a trivet for hot cookware within its stated heat limit. It’s also described for use on counters and washer-dryer tops. The listed size is substantial, so check the surface dimensions before choosing it, the product details don’t specify a fit for every range.

Who it’s for

This suits households that want to reclaim a stove’s surface for prep or drying when it isn’t in use. For example, after washing a few glasses and plates, you can set them across the ridges so water drains beneath them instead of collecting directly around the dishes. It may also help keep everyday splashes and kitchen debris off a glass-top range.

A solid pick if you want one flexible mat to cover a stove and handle occasional drying or heat-protection tasks. Compared with buying a dedicated drying rack and a separate surface protector, this combines those roles, but it won’t replace a larger rack if you regularly need space for a full load of dishes. You may want to skip it if you need something to leave on the range during cooking, or if 28 x 20 inches won’t suit your available surface.

What you get

The package includes one 28 x 20-inch stovetop cover and a one-year warranty. The mat can also be used as a placemat, pot holder, utensil rest, or grip support, according to the listed product details. Its flexible construction makes it easier to rinse or roll away than a rigid cover, though you’ll need somewhere to store it when you want the stove surface clear.

Questions before you buy

Can it stay on the stove while cooking? No. The product instructions say not to put the cover on an electric range while it’s on. Remove it before turning on the range.

Can it go in the dishwasher? Yes, the product details describe it as dishwasher-safe. It can also be rinsed or wiped clean.

Will it fit my range? It measures 28 x 20 inches. Compare those dimensions with your stove or intended surface before buying, no universal fit is specified.

Final verdict

Choose this cover if you want a sizable silicone protector that can pull double duty as a ridged drying mat when the stove is off. The waterproof backing, raised edges, and flexible, dishwasher-safe design suit everyday spill protection and dish drying. Its main restriction is important: it cannot be used on an electric range while that range is on. If you need a cover that can remain in place during cooking, this isn’t the right format.
