YOXMJDB Model 1 Gel Pens, 0.5 mm Black Ink, Retractable Soft-Grip, 5-Pack
Product description
For adults who want a fine-point pen for journaling, note-taking, or everyday writing, this five-pack pairs black gel ink with a 0.5 mm point. The retractable design and soft silicone grip give it a practical place in a desk, pencil case, or writing kit.
The vintage-style set is aimed at people who want a comfortable-feeling pen for regular notes, rather than a basic ballpoint. Its rolling-ball detail on the clip adds a small fidget feature, but the main choice is the fine point and black ink.
Practical tips
A 0.5 mm fine point can suit compact handwriting, journal entries, and drawing where a narrower line is useful. For a typical note-taking session, the retractable closure makes the pen straightforward to use without handling a separate cap. The soft silicone grip is intended to add a cushioned feel while writing, and the pens are listed as suitable for either hand.
If you are choosing between a simple everyday pen and a more specialized writing tool, this set sits closer to everyday journaling and general writing: it has black gel ink and one stated line size, rather than multiple ink colors or point options. The product also lists calligraphy and drawing among its recommended uses, though no nib variation or other specialized features are specified.
Why it makes sense
The useful combination here is a consistent fine point, retractable bodies, and soft grips across five pens. That can make sense for keeping one at a desk and another in a bag or notebook, without needing to switch between different ink colors. The clip also has a small rolling metal ball, it is an extra design detail, not a writing feature.
Buyer feedback is generally positive about smooth writing, the feel of the grip, and the pens’ appearance. Some customers also praise their resistance to smearing, but that feedback should not be taken as a guarantee across every paper type. Functionality reports are mixed: some buyers say the pens work well, while others report that a pen in the set stopped working.

Questions before you buy
Are all five pens black ink? The listed ink color is black, and the product is presented as a five-piece set.
Do the pens have caps? They are retractable, so the listed closure does not require a separate cap.
Can the ink get wet? The stated water-resistance level is not water resistant, so these are not specified for writing that needs to withstand water.
Buying verdict
Worth considering if you want a set of retractable black gel pens with a fine 0.5 mm point and a soft grip for notes, journaling, or general writing. The reported smooth feel and comfortable grip are appealing, while the mixed feedback about whether every pen functions as expected is worth weighing when reliability across the whole set matters. It’s not for you if your writing needs water-resistant ink, that is not a feature of this set.
