The two cutting settings let you select a mode suited to the branch being pruned, up to the stated 1.2-inch maximum. The cordless format is useful when moving among shrubs, trees, and rows of plants rather than working at a single fixed spot.

Getting the most from it

Use the shears for garden and orchard pruning, including work on fruit trees and grapevines. The listed trim speed is 0.5 seconds, making the powered trigger operation practical for a series of cuts. Select the 0.8-inch or 1.2-inch mode to match the branch, and keep the blade clear of hard materials such as iron. For safe startup, switch on the tool and quickly pull the trigger twice to activate the safety switch. Keep fingers away from the blade during use.

The tool is intended for Milwaukee M18 batteries, so it can suit a setup that already uses that battery platform. Buyers often praise the straightforward operation and cutting experience. Feedback about battery life and durability is mixed, so use a battery appropriate to your work session and follow the manual’s operating and care instructions.

What you get

The package includes the cordless pruning shears, one replacement SK5 blade, a bottle of lubricating oil, sandpaper, two assembly tools, and a user manual. The battery is not included, so a compatible Milwaukee M18 battery is needed to operate the tool. Keep the manual available for setup and blade-care guidance.

Does it use a Milwaukee M18 battery? Yes. The shears are designed for Milwaukee M18 batteries. The tool is sold without a battery.

How do you change the cutting mode? The two cutting-diameter settings are 0.8 inches and 1.2 inches. After startup, press and hold the trigger for three seconds to switch between them.

What happens if it is left idle? The product description states that the tool shuts off after 120 seconds without use. Restart it before continuing.

When it makes sense

These shears suit gardeners and orchard owners who handle repeated branch trimming and want powered cutting with an adjustable diameter and an on-tool counter. They are especially practical for users who already have a compatible Milwaukee M18 battery and want a dedicated pruning tool for moving between plants. The SK5 replacement blade and maintenance items in the package also support routine blade care, making this a focused choice for regular garden and tree-pruning work.
