XuanPad Mini Projector 1080p

Getting the most from it

For a bedroom movie night, a dorm room, or a quick backyard screening, the XuanPad Smart Mini Projector is designed to handle streaming and picture setup in one compact unit. Its rotating gimbal stand can point the image at a wall or up at the ceiling, while ToF autofocus and four-point keystone correction adjust the picture when you move it.

That makes a practical difference when you set it on a nightstand, shift it to a tripod, then aim it overhead without reaching for manual focus controls. From the way it is set up, it favors flexible placement over a fixed, permanently installed home theater.

The picture is native 1080p, with 4K decoding for compatible high-resolution content, decoding 4K does not make the panel native 4K. It supports images up to 200 inches, but its 600 ISO lumens point to a better fit in a dim room than in a space with strong daylight. If you prioritize a simple, all-in-one streaming setup, its built-in Google TV is useful, if you prefer a brighter image for daytime viewing, this brightness rating is a real constraint to weigh.

Why it’s worth it

Google TV brings streaming apps, recommendations, and a watchlist together, with Google Assistant voice search on the included voice remote. Chromecast is built in, too, so you can cast from a phone without making a separate streaming stick part of the setup. Netflix and Disney+ playback are described as supported through the certified platform.

The dual 15W speakers with Dolby Audio processing give you sound without requiring a separate speaker for every casual viewing session. For more personal listening or a different audio setup, Bluetooth pairing and a 3.5 mm audio jack are available. HDMI and USB add ways to connect other devices, while dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0 cover wireless use.

You’ll appreciate it if you want to carry one projector between a bedroom, dorm, or backyard and avoid juggling a streaming device and extra remote. It’s not for you if your priority is a native 4K panel, or if you need the image to compete with a brightly lit room. The supplied information lists a 24-month warranty and lifetime tech support, though it does not spell out the warranty terms.

At a glance

• Native resolution: 1920 x 1080, 4K decoding
• Brightness: 600 ISO lumens
• Image size: up to 200 inches
• Audio: dual 15W speakers with Dolby Audio
• Setup: ToF autofocus, four-point keystone correction, and a 360° rotating gimbal stand
• Connections: dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI, USB, and 3.5 mm audio
• Size and weight: 7.67 x 7.7 x 2.04 inches, 2.76 lb

Those dimensions and weight make it easier to pack than a fixed home theater projector, but portability does not remove the need to choose a suitable projection surface and control room light. The feature list also does not provide throw distance or screen material guidance, so placement may take some adjustment in an unfamiliar room.

Is it worth it?

This XuanPad makes most sense for viewers who want built-in streaming, flexible aiming, and usable onboard audio in a portable package. Its automatic focus and keystone correction are especially relevant if the projector gets moved often, rather than staying aligned in one dedicated spot. For a quick ceiling movie before bed, the combination of the gimbal stand and automatic picture adjustment is more convenient than a basic projector that relies on manual dials.

The trade-off is clear: native resolution is 1080p, and 600 ISO lumens make room lighting an important part of the viewing experience. Choose it for adaptable, mostly dim-room entertainment with Google TV already built in. Look elsewhere if your decision depends on native 4K or a bright picture in a sunlit room.
