Wanqueen 02 Live Animal Trap, 2-Pack Galvanized Iron Cage

For a small indoor space, a compact live-capture cage can be easier to position, for a garden or other outdoor area, a reusable trap offers a practical way to catch and release small animals. The Wanqueen 02 is designed for both settings.

This manual, two-piece set uses a pedal-triggered door to contain a rodent inside the cage. Its 10.5 x 5.5 x 4.5-inch dimensions give you a clear size reference when choosing a placement.

Each cage is made of galvanized iron and can be reset for reuse. The approach suits people looking for a live-capture option rather than a disposable trap.

Quick overview

The Wanqueen 02 set includes two silver live traps for rats, mice, chipmunks, and other small rodents. Each cage measures 10.5 inches long, 5.5 inches wide, and 4.5 inches high. The manual mechanism works when an animal steps on the pedal: the door closes and the latch holds it shut. The captured animal can then be released, and the trap reset for another use.

Galvanized iron provides the cage construction, and the traps are intended for indoor and outdoor placement. For a practical setup, place bait on the pedal and behind it inside the cage to encourage an animal to step on the trigger. Use gloves while setting the trap, as recommended by the manufacturer.

Buyer feedback highlights ease of setup and reports of catching rodents, while opinions on construction and durability are mixed. Some buyers also say the cages seemed smaller than expected, making the listed dimensions useful when deciding whether the trap fits the animal and placement you have in mind.

Getting the most from it

Choose a location where the cage can sit steadily and where you can access it to check for a captured animal. Set bait across the pedal and in the space behind it, then position the trap in the area where rodent activity has been noticed. The pedal-and-latch mechanism is designed to close the exit once triggered, after releasing the animal, the cage can be reset and used again.

The compact dimensions make it easier to plan placement in a kitchen, along an indoor route, or in a garden. If you are choosing between a one-time trap and a reusable live cage, this set is geared toward repeat use and release rather than disposal after a single capture.

Who it’s for

This two-pack is suited to households or property owners who want to place traps in more than one location, indoors or outdoors. Its listed target species is chipmunk, and the product is also described for rats, mice, and other rodents. The 10.5 x 5.5 x 4.5-inch cage is the key fit reference: compare those dimensions with the animal and the space where you plan to set it. It makes sense if you want a manual, reusable cage trap and prefer to manage capture and release yourself.
