Product description
The dual-side intake is designed to draw in smoke, steam, grease, and cooking odors from both sides of the cooktop. On this 30-inch VIKIO HOME hood, three fan speeds and a curved glass canopy make it a feature-rich choice for kitchens where cooking produces more than light fumes.
Gesture and touch controls give you two ways to change settings, while LED lighting illuminates the cooking area. The hood is designed for ducted installation, and the included activated carbon filters are listed for ductless use as an alternative setup.

The listed noise range is 35 dB on low to 65 dB on high. A three-minute delay shutoff keeps the fan running briefly after cooking, which can help clear lingering odors and steam. The baffle filters are stainless steel and dishwasher-safe, a removable drip tray collects grease. These details make the hood more suited to regular cooking than a basic unit with fewer controls or a single intake, though actual ventilation also depends on the installation and selected speed.
Tips for day-to-day use
Use a lower speed for lighter cooking and raise it for frying, searing, or other cooking that creates more smoke. Gesture control lets you adjust the fan without touching the panel, while touch controls provide a direct alternative. After cooking, the delay shutoff can continue ventilation for three minutes.
The stainless steel baffle filters can go in the dishwasher, which offers a straightforward cleaning option. The product information also describes a curved glass canopy that guides fumes toward the intake. It suits you if you want a wall-mounted hood with multiple speeds, LED lighting, and two control methods. If choosing ductless installation, the included carbon filters are relevant, the product is otherwise described as ducted, so the intended venting setup matters when planning installation.
Included in the package
The listed components are a duct connector, filter, installation kit, and instruction manual. The product details also state that two activated carbon filters are included for ductless installation. Check that the planned setup matches the installation route before fitting the hood.
Practical questions
Can it be installed without ducting? The product information says the activated carbon filters are suitable for ductless installation, while describing the hood itself as ducted.
How many fan speeds does it have? It has three speeds, controlled by gesture or touch.
Can the filters be washed in a dishwasher? The stainless steel baffle filters are listed as dishwasher-safe. A removable drip tray is also specified for collected grease.
Is it worth it?
This model brings together a 900 CFM rating, dual-side intake, baffle filtration, LED lighting, and gesture controls in a 30-inch wall-mount design. Those features may suit cooks who want more control and a stated higher airflow rating than a simpler hood. The practical trade-off is that it is a substantial wall-mounted unit at 48.9 pounds, and the listed dimensions and venting arrangement should fit the kitchen plan. Choose it when those features match your cooking and installation needs, a simpler hood may make more sense if you do not need the extra controls or dual-side intake.
