VIKIO HOME VK-RC13-30B 30-Inch Under-Cabinet Range Hood, 900 CFM

At 30 inches wide, the VIKIO HOME VK-RC13-30B is an under-cabinet range hood with a stainless steel body and black glass finish. Its ducted design is intended for kitchens with a route to exhaust air outside.

The hood has dual centrifugal motors rated for up to 900 CFM, three fan speeds, and reusable mesh filters. Touch and gesture controls offer two ways to adjust the fan while cooking.

A ducted hood suits shoppers who want to vent cooking air outside, a recirculating model is a different fit when external ductwork is not part of the kitchen setup. You’ll appreciate it if the ducted format and under-cabinet mounting match your space.

The combination of three speeds and gesture or touch operation gives you control over how the hood runs during different cooking tasks. That makes noise perception worth considering if the kitchen is open to a living area.

Usage tips

Match the hood to an existing or planned duct route before choosing it, this is a ducted unit, not a recirculating hood. Its listed dimensions can help you assess the cabinet space, but they do not confirm compatibility with a particular installation. Follow the included manual and positioning template during setup.

The removable mesh filters are intended to catch grease and cooking particles, so regular cleaning is part of using the hood. The product description says the filters are dishwasher-safe. Buyers have also praised the filtration and appearance, and some report that installation and filter cleaning are straightforward. These are individual impressions rather than a guarantee that every kitchen or installation will be the same.

Included in the package

The listed package contents include a rectangular duct adapter with damper, mesh filter(s), an installation screw set, an instruction manual, and an installation positioning cardboard template. The listing does not consistently specify the filter quantity across its product details, so check the package contents when it arrives.

Final verdict

The VK-RC13-30B brings a high listed airflow capacity, three speeds, reusable mesh filtration, and dual control methods to a 30-inch under-cabinet format. It makes sense to consider when you want a ducted hood and have a suitable exhaust route, particularly if gesture control is useful while cooking. It might not be a great match if your kitchen needs a recirculating solution instead. Buyer comments are positive about its appearance and filtration, but their differing views on noise suggest that quiet operation should not be the sole reason to choose it.
