Veise KS01B Keypad Door Lock with Lever Handles, Auto-Lock and Satin Nickel Finish

For households that want to share door access without handing out a key, the Veise KS01B combines keypad entry with a deadbolt and two lever handles.

Set a master code, share up to 20 permanent user codes, or create one-time passwords for guests. Backup keys provide another way to unlock the door.

The satin nickel finish and matching lever handles create a coordinated look for front, back, side, or other suitable doors around the home.

Key points

The backlit keypad lights when touched, making code entry easier to see in low light. Add random digits before or after your real code with the anti-peeping feature, so someone watching cannot easily identify the password. After 10 incorrect attempts, the lock shuts down for three minutes.

Choose an automatic locking delay from 10 to 99 seconds, or hold any keypad button for two seconds to lock the door from outside. A low-battery alert gives a visible warning, while one-touch locking offers a quick manual option. Silent Mode mutes keypad beeps while retaining low-battery and security alerts. Vacation Mode disables codes other than the master code, and Passage Mode keeps the lock open for free passage when needed.

The lock has an IP54 water and dust resistance rating. Its stated operating temperature range is -31°F to 158°F. The set includes the lock, two handles, latch, mounting plate, screws, and installation and programming instructions.

How to use it

Install the lock on a door that is 1-3/8'' to 2'' thick, with a bore-hole backset of 2 ⅜” or 2 ¾”. Follow the included instructions to mount the lock and set its codes. Use permanent codes for household members and one-time passwords for guests who need temporary access. For everyday entry, enter a code on the keypad or use a backup key, lock with the automatic timer or the one-touch control.

Best use cases

This set suits households that want to give family members individual keypad access, as well as homes that regularly welcome visitors. It is listed for front, back, and side doors, plus bedroom, laundry, apartment, and garage doors. Its combination of a deadbolt and lever handles provides a complete door-hardware setup, while a separate keypad deadbolt may make more sense when you want to keep existing handles.

For evening arrivals, the illuminated keypad helps with code entry in dim conditions. For loading and unloading, Passage Mode allows free passage, when you want the door to secure itself after entry, choose an automatic locking delay. Buyers often praise the installation, appearance, and straightforward programming. Feedback on auto-lock is mixed, so the one-touch locking option is useful when you want to lock the door manually.

Before you decide

How many access codes can I set up? The lock provides one master code and 20 permanent user codes. It also supports one-time passwords that expire after use, plus backup keys.
