ULTCOVER UCH 85-Inch Square Hot Tub Cover, 600D Waterproof Polyester, UV Resistant

If you need an outer layer to protect a square hot tub up to 85 x 85 inches, the ULTCOVER UCH is designed to fit over an insulated hard cover. Its waterproof, UV-resistant 600D polyester fabric helps shield the spa from rain, hail, snow, dust, leaves, and bird droppings, so the covered surface stays protected between uses.

Two built-in side vents promote airflow, while adjustable elastic drawcords help hold the cover in place. How does that help day to day? It combines debris protection with features designed to manage moisture and wind lift.

What you’ll notice day to day

The square 85-inch design provides full coverage for a suitably sized hot tub and its insulated hard cover. The waterproof backing helps guard against precipitation, while the UV-resistant coating is designed to resist sun damage and fading. This makes the cover useful for an exposed patio where the spa may collect weather and yard debris between sessions.

The structured side vents let air circulate beneath the cover, helping reduce moisture buildup. Adjustable drawcords tighten the fit around the hot tub, and the full-coverage shape helps keep leaves and other debris off the hard cover. Buyers often appreciate the fit and ease of putting the cover on and taking it off. Feedback on longevity and fading is mixed, so keeping up with care helps protect the fabric over time.

Care tips

Clean the cover with mild soap and water, then let it dry completely before storing it. For routine cleaning, water can be used to wipe or rinse the surface, gently scrub stains with mild detergent and air-dry the fabric. Drying it fully before storage helps keep moisture from being trapped in the folded cover.

Before you decide

Can it be used by itself instead of a spa cover? No. This protector is designed to go over an insulated hard cover, not to serve as a standalone hot tub cover. Its stated fit is for hot tubs up to 85 x 85 inches.

How does it stay in place? Adjustable drawcords create a snug fit around the spa and help secure the cover in windy conditions. The two built-in side vents promote airflow beneath it.

What is the recommended way to clean it? Use mild soap and water, and let it dry completely before storing. For tougher stains, gently scrub with mild detergent and air-dry.

When it makes sense

Choose the UCH when your goal is to protect an existing insulated spa cover from outdoor exposure, rather than replace that insulated cover. The square fit, waterproof backing, UV-resistant coating, vented sides, and adjustable drawcords suit routine protection on a patio or other outdoor setting. For a hot tub within its 85 x 85-inch size, it adds a practical barrier against weather and debris while keeping the underlying hard cover in place.
