Huchiz Fire Pit Chiminea Mat, 36-Inch Round Double-Sided Protector

Place the Huchiz fire pit mat beneath an outdoor fire pit to help protect a deck, patio, or lawn from embers and cooking spills. Its round 36-inch surface gives you a defined area to place under a fire pit or grill.

The mat is made from fiberglass with a silicone coating on both sides. That double-sided design is heat-resistant up to 2,000°F and helps guard the surface below against hot oil, sauces, and food stains.

After use, rinse the waterproof, oil-resistant surface with a hose or wipe it with a wet towel. The reusable mat folds for storage and carrying, making it practical for home setups and camping.

Why it’s worth it

A grill pad or fire pit mat can add a protective layer between outdoor cooking and the surface beneath it. This Huchiz mat combines a round 36-inch footprint with a silicone coating on both sides, so it can be positioned under a fire pit, charcoal grill, fireplace, or turkey fryer. Its surface is designed to resist water and oil, helping keep spills and food residue from soaking in and making cleanup more straightforward.

The fiberglass construction is listed as heat-resistant up to 2,000°F. Use the mat beneath the fire source rather than allowing flames or other fire sources to touch it directly, that practical placement helps extend its service life. Buyer feedback often appreciates the coverage and its use around fire pits, while reports on heat protection and durability are mixed. Following the direct-contact guidance is important for a setup that includes a heat source.

At a glance

The mat measures 36 inches in diameter and 0.02 inches high, with a round shape and a weight of 0.42 kg. Its fiberglass base has a silicone coating on both sides. The 36-inch surface suits setups where you want a mat beneath a fire pit or grill, while the foldable design makes it easier to put away or take along for outdoor use.

Everyday use

Set the mat on the deck, patio, or lawn beneath the fire pit or grill, keeping the heat source from making direct contact with the surface. For an outdoor cooking session, it can help catch oil, sauces, and food stains as well as embers. Once the mat has cooled, rinse it with a hose or wipe it with a damp towel, then fold it for storage. Its reusable construction makes it suitable for recurring use at home or while camping.

The 36-inch round format is a focused alternative to a larger rectangular grill pad: choose it when a circular fire-pit area is the shape that best suits your setup. For other uses listed by the manufacturer, it can also sit beneath a fireplace, stove, or turkey fryer, with the same placement guidance around direct contact with the fire source.
