TushGuard MPNTG0001-NYGE Memory Foam Seat Cushion, Gray, Washable Cover

A long desk session, a car ride, or a flight can leave you looking for a more supportive place to sit. The TushGuard cushion adds a memory foam pad with a U-shaped cutout to an existing seat. Its removable cover and carry handle make it easier to clean and move between chairs.

The essentials

This gray cushion measures 18.11 x 14.17 x 3.15 inches and is designed for office chairs, car seats, and other seating. The U-shaped opening leaves space around the tailbone, while the memory foam is intended to contour to the body and ease pressure during extended sitting. Those design details may appeal to someone who wants to adapt a chair they already own rather than replace it.

The cover is made from 100% polyester, has a zipper, and can be machine washed. A non-slip rubber bottom is intended to help keep the pad in place, and a built-in handle makes it more convenient to carry. The listing describes the cushion as firm and soft, so that wording does not establish one precise feel for every user.

On-body feel

Buyers often describe the cushion as making longer periods of sitting more comfortable. Feedback on firmness and support is mixed: some find it comfortable and supportive, while others say it feels too firm or does not provide enough support. Some also report that it flattens with use. These differing experiences matter if you have a specific firmness preference or expect the cushion to retain its shape over time.

The contoured opening and memory foam give it a different approach from a flat seat pad, but comfort will still depend on how the cushion fits your body and the chair. It is presented as a sitting aid, not a treatment for sciatica, back problems, or other medical conditions.

Everyday use

For a workday, the cushion can sit on an office or home desk chair, for travel, it can be moved to a car seat or used on other compatible seating. The removable cover is useful when regular cleaning matters, while the rubberized base is designed to reduce sliding as you shift position. The listed dimensions are worth comparing with your seat before choosing, especially if the available sitting area is compact.

Unlike changing the chair itself, adding this pad is a portable way to alter the feel of several seats. That flexibility is useful for switching between a desk and a car, though it does not change the chair’s backrest or overall fit.

When it makes sense

Worth considering if you want a washable, portable memory foam cushion with a tailbone cutout for office or car seating. The main trade-off is the uncertainty around feel and lasting support reflected in buyer feedback. Not the best choice if you need a particular firmness or want a cushion with consistently reported shape retention.
