RidRed OCW-001-Sky Blue 3-Inch Replacement Chair Casters, Set of 5

These 3-inch chair casters have polyurethane wheels and a stem-mount design for replacing office chair wheels. The set includes five casters, with steel, plastic, rubber, and polyurethane listed among the materials. They’re described for use on multiple floor types, from hardwood to carpet. One clear fit restriction: they are not compatible with IKEA chairs.

Key takeaways

The RidRed OCW-001-Sky Blue is a set of swivel replacement casters with a single-wheel design. The product listing gives a 650-pound load capacity and says the wheels are intended to roll across surfaces including wood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet. Soft polyurethane around the wheels is intended to help protect floors from marks and scratches, while the design aims to reduce rolling noise.

Buyer feedback also points to smooth movement across hard floors and carpet, quieter rolling than standard chair wheels, and fewer concerns about floor marks. Those are customer impressions, not a guarantee of the same results on every floor or chair. The set may suit someone replacing basic office-chair casters who wants a different wheel material and a quieter rolling setup, rather than someone shopping for a complete chair.

Who it’s for

These casters are intended for office chairs with a compatible stem mount. The stated stem size is 7/16” x 7/8”, so compare that measurement with the casters currently on your chair before choosing this set. The listing describes the size as fitting most office chairs, but it also explicitly excludes IKEA chairs, that exception matters more than the broad universal-fit wording.

It’s a great fit if you’re replacing worn or basic casters and want wheels designed for several floor surfaces. The five-piece set is also a practical detail when the chair uses five wheels. Better avoided if you have an IKEA chair or your existing stem does not match the stated dimensions.

Practical tips

Before installation, remove or inspect an existing caster and compare its stem size with 7/16” x 7/8”. The set uses stem mounting, so compatibility depends on the chair’s caster connection as well as the general chair type. If the dimensions or mounting style differ, the “universal” description alone isn’t enough to establish a fit.

For a desk setup that moves between a hard floor and carpet, the listed multi-surface use may be more convenient than choosing wheels intended for just one surface. The polyurethane wheel material is also relevant if floor marking is a concern. The product does not specify separate care or cleaning instructions, so there’s no basis for a more particular maintenance recommendation.

Practical questions

How many casters are included? The listing specifies a five-count set.

What stem size do they use? The stated stem size is 7/16” x 7/8”, with stem mounting. Compare it with your current casters before ordering.

Will they work on an IKEA chair? No. The product information explicitly says these casters are not compatible with IKEA chairs.

Is it worth it?

Consider this set if your chair accepts the stated stem size and you want replacement wheels described for both hard floors and carpet. Its focus is an upgrade from standard chair casters, with polyurethane wheels and a quieter-rolling design, buyers commonly describe smooth movement and reduced noise. If your priority is simply replacing wheels with the same basic style, or your chair’s fit is uncertain, confirm the stem dimensions first. The IKEA exclusion is a definite reason to choose a different set for those chairs.
