TushGuard Donut Pillow MPN-TG0008-GE Memory Foam Seat Cushion, Gray

For adults seeking a more supportive seat during long work sessions, commutes, or recovery, the TushGuard Donut Pillow combines memory foam with a shaped center opening to help reduce direct pressure on sensitive areas.

Its raised rear section and lifted side edges cradle the seating area, offering a different feel from a flat donut cushion. The design is intended to support a more natural sitting posture.

Use it on an office chair, car seat, wheelchair, airplane seat, or bleacher. A removable, machine-washable cover makes routine care more convenient.

Usage tips

Place the cushion on the seat with its shaped rear support positioned behind you. The U-shaped center opening is designed to keep direct pressure off sensitive areas, while the raised rear and side edges provide a more wrapped, supported feel. This setup may be useful during desk work, driving, travel, or postpartum recovery, when sitting for extended periods is part of the day.

The cushion measures 17.7 inches long, 14.1 inches wide, and 4.9 inches high. It is sized for use across several seating situations, from an office chair to an airplane seat. For car use, position it securely on the seat before sitting.

What you’ll notice day to day

The slow-rebound memory foam conforms under seated pressure, while its medium firmness provides a supportive base. The breathable, removable mesh cover can be machine washed, helping simplify care after regular use. Its non-slip bottom is designed to help keep the cushion in place on a range of seating surfaces.

Customers often describe the cushion as helpful for tailbone discomfort, though comfort and firmness impressions vary. Some also differ on how well it retains its shape over time, so individual experiences with the feel can vary.

Key features

The standout design detail is the extra-wide 7.5-inch U-shaped opening, which leaves room around sensitive areas rather than placing a flat surface directly beneath them. A gently raised rear section and lifted sides add support around the hips and help distinguish this cushion from a simple flat ring.

The memory foam core, gray color, and oval shape suit a practical everyday seat cushion, while its portable design makes it easy to move between home, work, and travel seating. The product is intended for adult use and for the buttocks area. Compared with choosing a basic flat cushion, this model is the more tailored approach for someone seeking a shaped seat with a pressure-relieving center opening.

Practical questions

Where can I use the cushion? It is recommended for office chairs, car seats, airplane seats, and bleachers, the product information also identifies desk chairs and wheelchairs as suitable seating. Its portable format makes it practical to move between these settings.

How should I care for the cover? The cover is removable and machine washable. Removing it for washing lets you care for the fabric separately from the memory foam core.

How long does the foam take to expand after opening? The cushion is vacuum-sealed for shipping. Allow 48–72 hours after opening for the memory foam to fully decompress to its intended 4.9-inch height.

Buying verdict

Choose the TushGuard Donut Pillow if a shaped memory foam seat cushion with an open center is the priority for work, travel, driving, or recovery. Its raised rear support, lifted edges, and washable cover make it a practical fit for people who want more than a flat seat pad for extended sitting.
