Tomhong Electric Cooktop Cover Mat 28 x 20 Inch

Key specifications

If your priority is extra counter coverage when the cooktop is idle, this mat addresses a different need than a small trivet or a bare cooking surface: it covers the stove area and gives you a spot for food prep or temporary storage. The hummingbird and red hibiscus artwork also makes the cover a visible part of the kitchen rather than a plain protective layer.

It measures 28 x 20 inches and is described for electric glass cooktops. The listing also says it can be used on induction cooktops and kitchen counters. It’s soft, flexible, rollable, reusable, and lightweight, with no material or heat rating specified.

Who it’s for

It suits you if you want to help keep crumbs, grease, spills, stains, and scratches off a cooktop while making the covered area more useful between cooking sessions. For example, you could set out ingredients on the covered surface while organizing a meal, then roll the mat up and put it in a drawer or cabinet when you’re ready to cook.

The floral print may appeal if you prefer kitchen accessories with color and a tropical theme. It might not be a great match if you need a fitted cover for a specific cooktop size: the stated dimensions are the main sizing detail, so compare them with the surface you want to cover. The product description does not identify a material or say that the mat is heat-resistant. Remove it before turning on the cooktop, and don’t treat it as a cover for a hot surface.

What you get

The listed item is a reusable, rollable stove-top cover mat featuring hummingbird and red hibiscus artwork. Its intended job is straightforward: cover the cooktop when it is not in use, help limit everyday mess on the surface, and provide temporary space for prep or storage. Afterward, its flexible format is designed to make removal and drawer or cabinet storage easy.

That convenience depends on using it as a cover, not as cookware or a permanent countertop. From the way it is set up, its value is in protecting and reclaiming the surface between cooking tasks, the listing doesn’t provide details about washing instructions, thickness, or how much wear it can take. Those omissions matter if you need care guidance or a more rugged work surface.

Before you decide

Will it fit my cooktop? The stated size is 28 x 20 inches. Compare that with the surface you want covered, no other fit measurements are given.

Can I use it with induction? The listing names induction cooktops as a use, as well as electric glass cooktops and kitchen counters. It does not specify compatibility details beyond that.

Can it stay on while I cook? It is described as a cover for the stove surface, including when the stove is not in use. Remove it before cooking, no heat rating is provided.

Is it worth it?

This mat makes the most sense if you want a decorative cover that can also free up some prep space when the cooktop is idle. Its rollable design is more convenient to store than a rigid cover, while its floral artwork gives it a more decorative look than a plain mat. Choose a different approach if you need verified heat protection, specific care instructions, or a custom fit, those details aren’t provided here. If the dimensions suit your surface and you’ll use it only as a removable cover, it addresses a practical everyday need without asking you to dedicate permanent counter space.
