BSFHH Stove Top Cover 28.5" x 20.5

Key points

A glass cooktop can collect scratches, spills, and clutter when it doubles as extra counter space. This oversized cover gives you a padded surface to help protect it while the stove is not in use.

It measures 28.5" x 20.5", with a natural rubber base described as non-slip. That makes it useful beyond the stovetop: set it beside the sink to catch draining produce, or use it as a work mat while chopping and prepping.

The listed heat resistance is up to 446°F/230°C, and the surface is described as waterproof and oil-resistant. Keep in mind that this does not make it a substitute for a trivet or permission to cover an active burner, use it as a protector when the cooktop is off.

Care tips

For everyday messes, wipe the mat with a damp cloth or rinse it under running water. The product description also says it can go in the dishwasher, which may be handy after oily spills or food prep. Let it dry before folding it away so it is ready for the next use.

The surface is intended to resist oil and water, but that does not mean every stain will disappear without effort. For a quick cleanup after draining berries or rinsing vegetables, a rinse may be enough, sticky residue may call for a more thorough wash.

Practical tips

Think of this as a flexible kitchen surface, not just a stove cover. After cooking, move it onto the counter to hold a bowl, a cutting board, or dishes waiting to be washed. Its textured finish is meant to help keep items from sliding, and the mat can fold for storage when you need the cooktop clear.

A solid pick if you want one large pad to protect a glass stovetop and handle occasional sink or counter tasks. A smaller, dedicated drying mat may suit a kitchen with limited storage better, while a rigid cover may be preferable if you need a firm surface. If your cooktop has an unusual shape, without that measurement, it is difficult to know how much of the edges this rectangular mat will cover.

Practical doubts

Can it be used as a drain mat? Yes. The product is described for use near a sink to hold dishes, fruit, or vegetables while they drain. It is a mat, not a rack, so it provides a flat surface rather than raised slots.

How do you clean it? Wipe it with a damp cloth, rinse it under running water, or use the dishwasher, as stated in the product details.

Does it fold away? Yes. It is described as lightweight and foldable, so you can store it in a cabinet or drawer when it is not needed.

Final verdict

This cover makes sense if your priority is protecting a glass cooktop while gaining a washable surface for light prep, draining, or setting down kitchen items. Its generous rectangular footprint is useful for broader coverage, but the size may be awkward for a smaller or unusually shaped stove. Not the best choice if you need a rigid counter extension or a specialized drying rack, choose it for flexible surface protection instead.
