The set includes songs from across the band’s catalog, with “Brand New Toy” and “Loved” among the hits associated with the release. The listed performance tracks include “It Is The Time,” “Starting To Pretend,” “Julie Thru The Blinds,” “For The Lovers,” “Beauty In Broken,” “Blue New Year” and “Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day.” That mix gives longtime listeners familiar material alongside songs connected to the band’s later return.
The concert has a particular place in The Jeremy Days’ story: after reuniting in 2022 and releasing the album Beauty in Broken, the band performed at Rockpalast for the first time that October. The release preserves that festival appearance across audio and video, making it suitable for fans who want to listen to the set as well as watch the performance. It also offers a concise way to revisit the group’s British pop and American art-rock influences through a live set rather than a studio-only collection.
Tips for day-to-day use
Choose the CD when you want to play the concert as an audio album, and the DVD when you want the visual performance and its extras. The unplugged video track is exclusive to the DVD, as is the 15-minute interview with the band, the interview is in German. This makes the release useful for more than a single listening session: the main set works for regular playback, while the DVD offers additional material for a dedicated viewing.
If you are choosing between a release centered only on songs and one that also preserves a concert visually, this CD+DVD format brings both uses together. It suits a fan who values the music itself but also wants the festival setting and bonus footage. The track list moves from early favorites such as “Brand New Toy” to material including “Beauty In Broken,” giving the performance room to reflect the band’s longer journey.
Practical tips
Set aside time for the full 1-hour-and-33-minute performance when you want to hear the concert as a complete set. For a shorter revisit, pick a familiar track such as “Brand New Toy,” or explore a title you may know less well, such as “The Deep Dark Night” or “Food And Coffee.” The DVD extras provide a separate way to spend time with the release: the unplugged video offers another musical moment, while the German-language interview adds a spoken conversation with the band.
The pairing is especially practical for listeners who switch between background audio and focused viewing. Keep the CD for straightforward music playback, then use the DVD when you want the onstage presentation and bonus content. It makes sense if the appeal is both a live collection of The Jeremy Days songs and a record of the band’s Rockpalast return.
Final verdict
The Jeremy Days’ Live At Rockpalast 2022 CD+DVD is a strong fit for fans who want the band’s festival performance in both audio and video, with familiar songs, later material, an unplugged DVD track and a German-language interview. It brings together the everyday convenience of listening to the set and the added context of watching the group perform at Rockpalast.
