Best use cases

This large washable mat is suited to puppy housebreaking, lining a crate or kennel, and adding a protective layer in a playpen. It can also be placed on the floor for senior pets or used during post-surgery care. For travel, fold it to bring a familiar, absorbent surface for a crate. Other practical placements include beneath food bowls or litter boxes, where a washable mat can help protect the floor around them.

Compared with disposable training pads, this reusable format is designed to be washed and used again. That makes it a practical choice for households that want a single larger mat they can clean between uses rather than replacing a pad after each mess. The non-slip backing is also useful when the mat is placed on a smooth floor or beneath a kennel.

Everyday use

The soft top layer offers a comfortable surface for resting or moving around, while the middle layers are designed to draw in urine and the waterproof coating helps contain moisture. Reinforced edge stitching and a tear-resistant TPU coating support repeated use. After an accident, machine washing provides a straightforward cleanup routine, follow the care guidance to use low heat if machine drying. Air-drying is another listed care option.

Buyers commonly praise the pad’s everyday function and ease of cleaning. Feedback on durability and water resistance is mixed, so experiences vary. Its washable design and broad coverage make it particularly useful where a small disposable pad would not cover the area around a crate or playpen.

Is it worth it?

Choose this Sunsleek mat when you need a generous reusable surface for a puppy’s training area, a kennel, or a spot where a pet rests. Its 72" x 72" size, machine-washable construction, soft top, and non-slip backing bring coverage and practical cleanup together in one pad. It suits routines where a washable floor layer can be put back into use after care, rather than relying only on disposable pads.
