SUNFURA 1308-650BQ-Blue-XL Soft Dog Cone, Blue Mesh Recovery Collar

Usage tips

After surgery or a skin injury, the SUNFURA soft dog cone is designed to help keep a dog from licking or biting the affected area. Its breathable mesh construction gives owners a fabric alternative to a rigid plastic cone, while the soft material is intended to minimize rubbing against the skin. The blue XL collar uses a hook-and-loop closure and an adjustable built-in drawstring, so you can fasten it around your dog’s neck and adjust the fit as needed.

Before choosing a size, compare your dog’s neck measurement and head length with the product’s fit. The cone’s depth should extend beyond the dog’s head so it can help block access to the area being protected. Once fitted, make sure the closure is secure and the drawstring is comfortably adjusted. Follow your veterinarian’s directions for your dog’s recovery.

What you’ll notice day to day

The mesh design makes this a softer-feeling option for routine recovery care, and the hook-and-loop fastening is straightforward to open and close when putting the collar on or taking it off. Adjusting the built-in drawstring lets you fine-tune the fit around the neck rather than relying on the closure alone. These details are useful when the cone needs to stay in place during everyday movement while helping limit access to a healing area.

Buyer feedback often highlights the soft feel, ease of putting the collar on and removing it, and a secure fit. Some describe it as more comfortable than a rigid plastic cone, including for resting, others mention mild discomfort. That feedback reflects individual experiences, so a careful fit and observation of your dog while wearing the collar remain important. The cone is intended to help prevent licking and biting, not to replace any recovery guidance from your veterinarian.

For a dog that needs post-surgery protection, this fabric collar offers a different approach from a hard plastic barrier. The mesh material and adjustable closure put the focus on a softer contact feel and a fit that can be adjusted around the neck. Its blue XL version is identified by model number 1308-650BQ-Blue-XL, helping distinguish it when selecting the product.

The combination of adjustable fastening and a soft mesh body makes it a practical option for helping protect a healing area during everyday recovery.
