Soundcore P42i D1205 Wireless Earbuds with Adaptive ANC, LDAC and 56-Hour Playtime

For listeners who want to manage everyday noise and enjoy music at live events, the Soundcore P42i brings both needs into one pair of wireless earbuds. Adaptive ANC responds to changing surroundings, while Natural Mode is designed for concerts, festivals, and games. Choose focused listening for a commute or a more natural sense of the atmosphere at a show.

Quick overview

The P42i combines adaptive active noise cancellation with Hi-Res Audio and LDAC support. Its 11 mm dynamic drivers reproduce music, while six AI-enhanced microphones help reduce surrounding noise during calls. The earbuds offer up to 12 hours of playtime on a charge, or up to 56 hours with the case in normal mode. With ANC on, the figures are up to 8.5 hours per charge and 40 hours total.

Natural Mode is made for loud live settings: it lowers sound more evenly while keeping voices, music, and the surrounding atmosphere clear and natural. For a more focused listen, Immersive mode reduces noise as much as possible. The IP55 rating, touch controls, Bluetooth 6.1, and wireless charging add practical details for everyday use.

Customer feedback often highlights sound quality, noise cancellation, battery life, comfort, and easy connections. Fit opinions are mixed, as are reports about reliability, so the overall feedback is not uniform on those points.

How to use it

Pair the earbuds with a cell phone or another compatible device over Bluetooth. Use touch controls to manage listening, and download the Soundcore app after pairing to update the earbuds and adjust the control experience. The app lets you change touch sensitivity, customize actions such as volume or track skipping, and switch touch controls on or off.

For calls in a busy office, on a crowded train, or outdoors, the six AI-enhanced microphones are designed to help your voice come through by reducing surrounding noise. When you want to focus on music or audio, use ANC, when the sounds of a concert or game are part of the experience, select Natural Mode instead.

Getting the most from it

Match the listening mode to the setting. Adaptive ANC responds to everyday noise such as traffic and crowds, while Immersive mode is intended to reduce distractions further. Natural Mode suits live events where a more even reduction of loud sound can help keep the atmosphere recognizable. These modes give the P42i a more flexible role than earbuds aimed only at blocking out background noise.

Battery life depends on the mode: standard listening provides up to 12 hours on the earbuds and 56 hours with the case, ANC and LDAC together provide up to 6 hours and 27 hours total. A 10-minute charge provides up to 3.5 hours of listening. For a personalized app experience, the available hearing test and listening report can show results for each ear and listening levels.

Before you decide

How long does the battery last? In normal mode, expect up to 12 hours from the earbuds and 56 hours total with the case. With ANC on, the stated figures are up to 8.5 hours and 40 hours total. A 10-minute charge provides up to 3.5 hours of playtime.

What is the difference between Natural Mode and Immersive mode? Natural Mode lowers background sound while keeping more of the surrounding atmosphere audible, making it suited to concerts, festivals, and games. Immersive mode reduces noise as much as possible for a more focused listen.

Can I customize the touch controls? Yes. In the Soundcore app, adjust touch sensitivity, customize actions such as volume and track skipping, or turn touch controls on or off.

When it makes sense

The Soundcore P42i is a practical fit for listeners who move between noisy daily routines, calls, and live events. Adaptive ANC and Immersive mode support focused listening, while Natural Mode offers a different approach for concerts and games. LDAC audio, app-adjustable controls, and up to 56 hours of total playtime make it a versatile choice for everyday listening and varied sound environments.
